When I first begin teaching a student, I tell them that everyone has the ability to sing well no matter his or her experience. I also tell them that there are four things that a good singer must have: breathe control (air is your fuel, and must be used efficiently and effectively to give you the best sound), posture (in order to have access to your air and prevent vocal damage you must practice good posture habits), diction (how you pronounce words when singing can impede or improve vocal tone, as well as help or hinder the audience in understanding the lyrics) and finally and most importantly, passion. Passion is how emotionally connected you are to music and is what really allows the singer to connect with his or her audience.

My daughter is 12 years old and she started to take lessons with Sandra in fall 2012. She made a great progress and absolutely loves her teacher and classes. She enjoys each class and I donât have to remind her to do her singing homework: she enjoys all the work and looks forward to her next class. My daughter thinks that Sandra is an amazing teacher and that she has a beautiful voice ⦠and I agree :)
I am a musician myself (a former piano teacher with Bachelor degree in Music) and I would highly recommend Sandra."

I just wanted to take a moment to write a short note of praise for voice instructor Marty Wilson.
Marty took me under her wing for a crash course audition preparation, with just one week to prepare! Marty was the perfect instructor for this task... She provided coaching on stage presence, proper mic usage, non-vocal communication, and stress management, that I would have been completely lost without. She kept me focused on the task at hand, and was extremely insightful in feedback and instruction. She even took the time to email me some helpful video and instruction links to supplement our lessons that further prepared me for my audition.
I would highly recommend Marty for anyone seeking a vocal coach.
Thanks!
Tara"
