About Michael
I graduated from the University of California Irvine. I have been teaching for over 15 years. I teach health, emotional healing, and languages: Chinese and ESL. I use digital flashcards that I have created to help my Chinese and ESL students continue practicing and applying the language they are learning in between lessons. Helping others grow and learn is my life's greatest passion.

Chinese:
I majored in Chinese Literature and Language at the University of California Irvine and studied abroad for a year on a full scholarship at one of the top universities in China: Beijing Normal University. I can teach all ages well even if you do not have any background.

ESL:
I have a TESOL degree and also fluently speak Chinese and Korean. which helps my Chinese and Korean students learn English much faster from me than from other ESL teach
ers who do not speak these languages. I have a great passion for teaching and understand how to help my students master the English language by learning through application. Learning a language is like putting pieces of a puzzle together. Once you know how the puzzle pieces of a language work and interact with each other, you have the critical foundation for mastering any language.

Health & Life Coaching:
I have a practice called Heal From the Ground Up where I target the underlying root causes of my clients' body and mind related health problems, in particular: depression, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety disorders, emotional stress, detoxification, hormone imbalance, candida, digestion, nutrition. exercise, medication induced nutrient depletion, and more.

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Michael. Although I have no background in learning Chinese Michael made learning a new language, which I was at first intimidated by, very easy to understand. After the first class, I felt excited because I was already making basic sentences. I am looking forward to many more classes with Michael!

About Susanna
Guten Tag!

I was born and raised in Munich, Germany. I am fluent in German and English. I moved to the United States over 30 years ago with my family. I worked as a chief flight attendant for Lufthansa Airlines for many years. When I became a mother I earned my certification as a Montessori teacher in 2006 and have been teaching my students at a local Montessori school the German language with fun songs (I play the piano) and simple games and interesting books. It is important to me to make the whole learning process a positive and fun experience for my students. I worked with pre-schoolers as well as elementary students. I also tutor high school/college students and adults of any age in German. One of my hobbies and passions is acting on stage, mainly in comedies at local community theaters.
Whatever your needs may be i
n regard to the German language, (writing, reading, spelling, correct pronunciation, etc. school, work or travel) I would love to be of assistance and make the learning an enjoyable adventure and great success! Living in the United States for so many years and also traveling to Germany every year has made me acutely aware of the cultural differences and I enjoy sharing these interesting findings with my students, it helps immensely to embrace, immerse and "feel" a foreign language.
I can meet my students in person or if more convenient be available for online lessons.
Let's start with this exciting and fun adventure to dive into another culture, another world and language!

Please note: it is always best to check with me before booking on the website. My availability is very variable, I am striving to accommodate the desired lesson times of my many beloved student from all over the world and therefore my calendar changes often. Once you contact me I will be able to inform you of my current availability and I will immediately block your desired time and date on my personal calendar. Thank you!

About Paul
I hail from Walla Walla, Washington, home of the "famous" sweet onions. I can't begin to express how much I love languages!! I have studied 8 so far (Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, and Dutch) and I teach 5 (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Japanese), and want to keep learning new languages throughout the rest of my life. I love to work with students so that's why I've kept my rates low--to make sure more people can have the opportunity to learn these languages. I have a down-to-earth style and I allow my students to guide their own learning in a student-structured, individualized way. As of June 2019, I have taught multiple students different languages, among whom are three students I have been teaching between 7 and 9 months, who have all improved considerably and continue to progress steadily
. I am positive I can help you come to understand the wonderful world that is language and to learn how amazing it is to be able to say the same thing in so many different ways, and how much better it is to be able to communicate with someone in his/her native language instead of having to resort to English. Let's do this!!

Note: I have not had any connectivity problems for quite a while now so be assured that I can provide quality instruction with no issues.

Since I'm absolute beginner in Japanese, I found Paul to be the perfect fit for me. If you are young or adult (me) I would highly recommend taking classes with Paul at least for your beginning classes. I'm sure he would be the perfect fit for you too.

About David
Hello! My name is David and helping students succeed in school is my passion.

My tutoring career began in 2011 when I volunteered for Reading Partners, a non-profit organization that assists elementary school students who are struggling with reading comprehension skills. I later applied as a writing tutor for CSU East Bay's Student Center for Academic Achievement (SCAA) and helped college students from many social and ethnic backgrounds polish their essay writing skills. After graduating with a bachelor's in English in 2012, I became an independent contractor with Buddy System Tutoring and helped high school students in the Bay Area improve their writing and study skills.

I earned my teaching credential in 2015 and have four years of experience teaching English to middle and high school students. I have had the pleasure of working w
ith students of different backgrounds and ages throughout my teaching career; my youngest student was a third grader from Oakland, and my oldest was a 65-year-old college student from Taiwan. I would be thrilled to use my extensive experience to help you or your child improve their reading and writing skills.

I have collaborated with David before on creative writing projects and he is a wonderful person to work with. I have also had experience teaching at the same school where he taught high school English, and in my experience, David would make a thoughtful and personable instructor. He has a relatable sense of humor and clear way of explaining concepts. I would recommend him as a tutor or writing coach for any middle or high school student.

Hi there!
I am a recent graduate from the FIU School of Business. I am passionate about teaching students and plan to open a non-profit one day. My experience includes 6 years of tutoring students of all ages, including students with Special needs. During that time I successfully taught students an array of subjects ranging from reading comprehension, basic math, and science, to organization and study skills, SAT prep, and business calculus.

Tutoring and teaching students is something that comes naturally to me because I love helping others watching them grow. Teaching English is my favorite subject to teach because it was my first language, so it's incredibly easy to me, but I also love the language!
