Whether you're looking to learn bass within the scope of meshing with other live musicians or have more of a soloist mindset, I've got you covered. I have played bass since 1997 and will never run out of new things to show you.
About Chaetan
Having played music for as long as I can remember (my father is an accomplished Jazz and Soul drummer), music has always been a key ingredient in my life. From playing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme on the drum set as a toddler, I have gone on to learn electric/classical/lap steel guitar, e

I look forward to my weekly guitar lessons with Chaetan because he is a very knowledgeable, relaxed, and patient teacher. He tailors my lessons to meet my personal goals (learning those pinnacle acoustic songs). But as an exceptional instructor, he also guides me to meet goals he has for me as a student, such as learning to build chords on my own. The quality of his instruction has already increased my progress on the instrument. Overall, his talent and interest in music motivate me to practice so I am fortunate to have found Chaetan as my guitar teacher.
Chaetan is a very friendly instructor who tailors his lessons to meet both the experience level and type of music a student is interested in. Chaetan has a lot of energy and makes the lessons fun. He appears to know every aspect of what he is teaching as well as plays other instruments. My daughter and I are both very happy with Chaetan.

I use Fender, Ibanez, Flea bass, Tech 21 SansAmp, JBL, and Ampeg.
There is not just one book that will give you everything you need so I teach from a number of books by different companies like Alfred, KJOS, Hal Leonard, song books, to individual pieces from music notes. I also create, print, and email custom lessons created on a program in my Mac.
It usually takes around 2 - 3 months for beginner to start catching on and be able to play well. It really depends on how much the student practices. Some people catch on faster because they are naturals and others have to work a little harder. It's my goal to help each student become the musician they desire to be. My philosophy is to teach my students to be smart musicians. What I mean by that is, it does you no good if you can play a song but ...

I've been taking lessons from Scotty for over a year and have learned a lot about theory, form, and style. Had taken lessons from other instructors and felt that I should had been further along after 1 year. One hour lesson time is perfect for me and I always leave wishing I had more time."

I would highly suggest going to Paul."

Very contributive, patient, and friendly. David brought me a lot of ideas and consideration in detail. Nice guy!!"
