We will start out with the basics like note names and fingering then move on to scales, repertoire and chord progressions.

What you'll expect is a mix of sight reading, technique learning and playing, book performance and improvisation by ear for each lesson in the style the student wishes to learn about. If needed, I also write individual exercises tailored to each student and their practice routine. I teach them all of the major, minor and modal scales, chords, arpeggios, proper hand positioning and fingering. I teach many ages, especially beginners up to level 5 in piano levels.

I have 7+ years of piano teaching experience specializing in beginner and intermediate students. All ages are welcome. I offer a curriculum customized for each student depending on their needs and interests, composed of note reading, ear training, piano technique, music theory, performance skills, and standard piano repertoire. I also provide comprehensive guidance through piano and music theory ABRSM exams.

Patience, support and practice are the only things required to play the piano. I can help with all of them!

I learned how to play piano 4 years ago when I started teaching music lesson. When I first started I was teaching voice, so I had to learn scales and chords to be able to warm up and accompany the students I was working with. Pretty soon I was playing piano with my students for their recitals, and quickly I learned how to utilize the piano either for performance or practice!

All Ages and All Levels. Classically trained. Encourage students to incorporate favorite songs/genres of music be it rock, pop, jazz, etc. For all ages and levels, I prefer to incorporate music theory as part of the learning process. It allows the student to see the how and why, to not only feel music but also understand it. If your goal is primarily playing oriented, I will, of course, adjust my teaching style to fit your needs.
