I recently received my Doctorate in instrumental performance at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Even though, at the university my focus was on clarinet performance, I also play flute and enjoy teaching flute lessons.

I have the experience of teaching private lessons in France and America and I am seeking clarinet students of every level and age.

I will focus my teaching on your needs and can help you improve sight-reading, technique, musicianship and sound production.

I've been teaching flute for 7 years and love seeing my students discover their own musicality and build their confidence through flute playing! I teach all levels, from beginning to advanced flutists, including kids*, teens, recreational music learners, adult beginners, and secondary instrument learners. I can also coach you through audition and performance preparation, with special focus on performance psychology, anxiety, body awareness, and unlocking your flow state!

(*If your child is under age 10 and has a strong interest in flute or other wind instruments, I also teach recorder for ages 8 and up! This is a great safe & affordable way to get a head start on wind instruments for smaller fingers without straining the body.)

I have played flute for over 20 years. I studied at California State University, Northridge, where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in performance. I have been tutoring for over ten years, teaching students of all ages and levels. It is important to me that I get to know my students on a personal level, so I can cater lessons to their individual goals/learning styles. Whether you want to work on tone, prepare for an audition, or learn that song from Frozen, I look forward to working with you!

As a certified music teacher my lessons help students quickly gain confidence on the flute. With my guidance, students become well-rounded musicians able to play their favorite songs, explore new possibilities, make their own music, and take on new challenges!

I am a really easy-going person and I want you to have FUN and discover new stuff every time you play your instrument.

After we figure out what you want to play and what areas we want to work on, I will make a special curriculum for you! Each student has a different curriculum that is specific to his or her level and learning style. I give a weekly curriculum after every lesson so you don’t need to worry about forgetting what we worked on at our lesson and you can work on it at home. Looking at past curriculum also provides an excellent way to look at a student’s progress.

One of the most important aspects of playing a woodwind instrument is achieving a good tone. I will help you get a good tone by teaching the fundamentals: from how to hold your instrument, how to blow, etc…
