I'm a Ph. D chemist trained in a prestigious US university, for more than 15 years teaching and tutoring in high school sciences/chemistry, college chemistry courses. Through one-on-one tutoring, the subjects will be presented in a way that caught interest, clarified difficult topics and led student(s) through complex areas, and put knowledge into context so that its relevance was apparent. The most important element of my tutoring is to encourage reasoned thinking and rational problem solving.

I hold this course dear to me, as it --and amazing teachers!-- ignited my passion for the physical sciences. Just halfway through high school, I decided this was to be my path for university studies and didn't look back.

I loved this subject from the time it was formally introduced to me as a high school sophomore in general chemistry, from acids and bases to stoichiometry and molecular structures. I continued by taking AP Chemistry during 11th grade (Junior) year of HS and maintained the highest grade in my class. I received a 5 on my AP exam. I continued onto several semesters of university level Chemistry courses, into upper division Organic Chemistry.

Coming from a background of online education and homeschooling as well as attending one of the nation's top most prestigious universities, I am extremely capable of tutoring most subjects.

I am a former standard certified high school biology teacher as well as a medical student. As a result, I have up-to-date experiences as both a teacher and a student. It is important to be able to stand in a student's shoes as a tutor and I am able to do just that. I have high success rates and I tutor my students on how to manage their time effectively, because it is the not the quantity, but rather the quality of studying that affects a student's grades.

Central to Chemistry is the interplay between micro and macroscopic analysis of matter. I have assisted students with both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for science Majors.
