Hi, I enjoy taking students on a math adventure that is filled with activities, fun engaging videos and interactive games to enhance the students knowledge, spark their imagination and enhance their knowledge base. I love having fun and being creative and each lesson will show students how to have fun with math concepts and skills using challenging and exciting games and activities. Students will learn, question, wonder, and explore the world of math!

I began tutoring math in middle school, and continued throughout high school. I have a minor in applied mathematics at my university, am a member of the Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society, and am excited to be a math teacher at the Memphis Teacher Residency Camp in summer 2021. I can tutor elementary math students through high school math students, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and high school AP level calculus.

I'm a DC licensed Special Education Teacher with a Master's of Arts in Teaching for Special Education. For the past 5 years I've helped elementary students grades 1-6 to overcome the most difficult of academic challenges to perform on grade level. Before that I worked for 2 years as a high school teacher's aide for students with learning disabilities. Prior to that, I worked as a substitute teacher, and as a tutor for various tutoring agencies and after-school programs. I'm also trained in Montessori Math materials for lower and upper elementary. Math is my FAVORITE subject! In these tutoring sessions, you will receive help with homework, prepare for tests and quizzes, and better your overall understanding of math. I teach with patience and fun because I feel that this is the key to achieving goals and inspiring a good work ethic.

I am fresh out of school, so these math lessons are at the front of my brain. While in school I received A's and B's always. I was a student who would always help other students learn the material even at a young age. Now that I have been presented with this opportunity to teach others I would love to teach kids in a fun and simple way.
