Acrylic Painting Lessons in Collinsville. Amazing Teachers.

The most fabulous thing about being an artist is that boundaries regarding creativity are non-existent. The artist is always in a state of learning. Art is a progressive practice that takes time to develop.

Students will be introduced to the color wheel, basic materials needed, perspective, and the differences between realistic and impressionistic painting techniques. Materials are not included.

Acrylic painting lessons will be assessed based on the individual's current abilities and their goals.

Experienced teacher of 5 years, specializing in the beginner/intermediate painting student. All ages are welcome. With curriculum building experience as a previously certified Art teacher, I have the expertise to cater to any type of ability or age of student. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be painting like you've been doing it your whole life in no time, but you will be building a strong foundational knowledge of composition, color theory, masters techniques, optimal materials, and much more. ACRYLIC PAINTING LESSONS

Abstract Painting uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstract art, non figurative art, nonobjective art, and nonrepresentational art are loosely related terms. They are similar, but perhaps not of identical meaning.

A Complete List of Painting Supplies that every Acrylic Painter needs

1. Acrylic Paints. Ex: Golden Classic Theory Color, a-z Acrylics, Liquitex [brands]

2. Proper Painting Brushes [I‘d suggest six total in a range of sizes: two size 2 brushes, two size 6 brushes, and two size 12 brushes. One of each pair should be a flat brush (with a squared-off brush tip) and the other should be a filbert brush (with a slightly rounded tip).

3. Newspaper
4. A charcoal pencil
5. A “palette”
6. Comfortable, messy clothes
7. A painter’s easel - if any
8. Canvas (or other painting surface)

There is a complexity in the teaching of art that includes giving students the knowledge of different techniques in art, as well as teaching the process of creating, and the process of finding their own way in painting. Teaching art, for me, is not only a pleasure, but also a wonderful way to exchange my personal vision of life with my students.
I have 15 years of teaching experience in my studio and high education levels. I am a working artist myself and know the steps my students could take to study painting and express themselves in Art. The students will learn the elemental composition, color theory, use of brushes, different techniques, and movement in painting.
