I am a published playwright and award-winning screenwriter. With over 30 years of experience writing plays, screenplays, and comedy sketches, I am focused on helping you find your voice and learn the fundamentals of three act structure. Are you unsure how to format a script or what opportunities there are for writers? I can answer your questions. Have you written a script that needs feedback? I'll read it and give you comprehensive notes. Wherever you are in your development-- beginner, intermediate or advanced-- I will hone in on your strengths and weaknesses; I'll give you assignments and feedback that can help you get to the next level. I taught sketch comedy writing at The Lee Strasberg and Theatre and Film Institute in New York City and I have helped many writers with their plays and screenplays. Most recently, I won multiple awards for a spec script I wrote for the TV Show “Master of None.” I just finished a full-length play and I am gearing up to host a reading-- online-- of a ...

I am a full time professional magician with over 30 years of experience and over 15 years working as a full time pro. I will walk you through each and every step making sure that you not only understand how to perform a specific sleight or magic trick but WHY you do the particular moves or scripting when you do. I have a BFA in Theater Arts and use my training to help you understand the performance element of magic. Even if you are only performing for one friend, a well performed trick is better than and poorly performed one.

"Speaking publicly was always my greatest fear until I had an opportunity to be coached by James. In just 5 one-hour lessons, my fear of public speaking was eliminated. James was able to convey that my fear of public speaking was irrational, and with several key preparation techniques I would be able to overcome this lifelong challenge. All true! Thanks James!"

The #1 fear of business people is addressing an audience. Effective oral communication, especially speaking in public, is a skill integral to confidence and leadership in the business world. Like any skill, it can be learned. Using breathing, stretching, and relaxation techniques from British theatre training, you will learn how to overcome stage fright and build confidence, so that you can stand in front of a group of people and convey your ideas convincingly, without fear, and become a ...

I hold a Masters Degree from New York University in Dance Education with a concentration in American Ballet Theatre pedagogy. I work at American Ballet Theatre as a teaching artist and as an Exam Proctor.
My classes are catered to the level and the needs of my students, they include stretching, conditioning and of course ballet technique. You have the option to have a solo created on you, in which I choreograph a unique piece for the dancer and rehearse it during the lesson to help with artistry and performance. We also can work on ballet variations as I coach a lot of my students in preparation for competitions.
While I train professionals, my students range in age from 5 years old to 18 years old, and am able to cater my classes to ...

My daughter's wedding was weeks away, and I had never been able to dance a step. For that important occasion, however, I wanted to be able to at least survive a little waltz. My daughter and I selected a short piece, connected with Jenny, and she took it from there. In three lessons, she taught us the basics, provided some great pointers, a little choreography, and even taught us a few impressive moves to throw into the mix. The results exceeded everyone's expectations, and brought not only resounding applause at the reception, but also sentimental tears to many eyes. With Jenny's help, I came further in dancing than ever before in such short time in any subject.
An extremely patient, caring, and capable instructor, Jenny always listens carefully to your questions and ideas. Then, it's fascinating to watch her pause a moment, process the issue, and come back with a solution that's exactly right. Without her, a great moment and memory for my daughter and me might never have happened."
