Elizabeth is extremely patient and thorough. She made sure I understood each stitch she taught me. I came to the first class frustrated by trying to be self-taught. By the end of class I was excited about my project again. I look forward to finishing the blanket I’m working on so she can teach me to do another.

Go at your own pace and have fun are my knitting mottos! I teach continental style knitting and have been teaching beginners to knit for over 5 years. Together we'll experience the excitement that comes when you cast on something new, learn a new stich, or finish a favorite project.

I'm can start with the basics (cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch) or jump straight into helping on a project you have planned (or started and got stuck on? don't worry - it happens to all of us!). There is no limit to the kind or number of projects we can do. I have plenty of project ideas and am always happy to help with your ideas, too.

About Nicole

My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 11 years old, and after taking a few years off I picked up the hobby again in my 20s. Now in my 30s I am an avid knitter - there are always several projects on my needles (I need one I can travel with, one I can do while watching TV, and usually one I'm m

"Jane was a lovely and kind. She taught with much patience as I continuously dropped stitches, she assure me and then use my mistakes to include another skill within the lesson. So, in this one-hour lesson I learned to knit, purl, decrease and undo stitches when I made a mistake! It was a really nice class!"

"I have been struggling over a sweater pattern that I purchased. Numerous Youtube videos didn't help. Several communications with the person who wrote the pattern didn't help. The pattern maker was super nice, but just could not communicate how to execute her instructions (teaching is a skill). The pattern stressed me out, and my beautiful yarn was going to waste. The sweater is super cute, so I decided to get help. Jane H. was amazing! Aside from being a very skilled knitter, she is an excellent teacher. She is personable and goes beyond the pattern to tell you why a stitch is being done the way it is, so that you know what it's supposed to look like. She truly gives you a knitting lesson. Online was great because I could see her hands up close, letting me see precisely how a stitch is done as she explained it. She taught me everything I need to know to knit this pattern and I am so thrilled! I can now actually knit this sweater. Thank you Jane. You're the best."
