Classes are taught online primarily using SKYPE.
Hi, Kon nichi wa. Genki? Hajime mashite, watashino namae wa Yuriko desu.
I was born and raised in Japan. I can teach from beginner to intermediate in Japanese. I have many hours of experience teaching Japanese to any ages, kids to adults, private, group or home-schooling -- whoever wants to learn Japanese (writing, reading, conversation, romaji, hiragana, katakana kanji and JLPT (all level)). I have a teaching certificate issued by Japanese Ministry of Education which qualifies me to teach 7th -12th grade classes.
I recently relocated from LA to Honolulu, Hawaii so "SKYPE" is the key word, very useful and love it.
Just let me know what time so we can meet. Let's have fun!
Yuriko is very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. I've been studying Japanese on my own for about a month and decided I wanted an instructor to help me. I was very nervous to speak Japanese in front of her as my studies have left me reading about grammar and vocabulary, not necessarily saying much of it out loud, but she quickly calmed me with her reassuring nature. She provided me with a lot of insight on the use cases for many words/phrases, as well as Japanese culture. I left my first lesson feeling confident and ready for more!
I'd highly recommend Yuriko to anyone wanting a Japanese language instructor! She's the best!

Hi, everyone! I am Naoko. I live in the upper New York state since 2010 and teach Japanese online and in-person. I used to work at a trading company in the semiconductor industry in Japan. Also, I have three years' experience of working in the bridal company. These experiences working in the two different fields are very valuable and I acquired much knowledge and business skills. I like traveling, eating authentic food and talking with foreign people. I have been to Eastern Europe, Asia, Oceania, Canada, Bahamas, Maldives. I currently teach Japanese online and in the local area around Upstate New York. I have students from various occupations like lawyers, professors, engineers, and doctors. Also, I teach young Japanese children who are developing their literacy and speaking skills, teenage students being homeschooled, and college studen
ts working on JLPT preparation or their graduate theses. Furthermore, I help businessmen and women who are trying to apply for job opportunities in Japan and who want to learn Business Japanese as relates to the honorific system, how to write formal emails, conversation on the telephone, and useful phrases for business situations. My lessons are full of originality and are designed to match your level and meet your goals. For beginning students, I focus on teaching grammar first and using that grammar to practice making short sentences. For the middle and advanced levels students, we will work together to strengthen your vocabulary, listening and reading skills. Also, they write composition homework every time, and we correct mistakes together in the next lesson. Advanced level students discuss one or two news articles or themes which you decide. Let's start learning Japanese with me. I look forward to seeing you soon!
Very professional and very good teacher. I am looking forward to learning Japanese with her.

Naoko-san is definitely a 5 star instructor for learning Japanese! I would highly recommend her classes, especially for beginners like myself. She breaks everything down in easy to understand ways & makes each lesson a lot of fun. I very much look forward to continue learning about Japanese language & culture with her!
Japanese native. Living in the US for 30 years. Specializing in the beginner/intermediate.
I came here to the US in 1989 from Okayama pref. It’s west side in Japanese main island. Taught Japanese at Mitsubishi Motors Co. and privately.
I myself learned how to speak English and had hard time leaning it and still learning. I understand how hard it is and struggles to learn different languages. I would like to help you learn from my experiences
3 years' of teaching experience from beginners to advanced students. All lessons will be catered depending on students' needs.
Apart from the lessons, I'd be happy to : - exchange texts in Japanese to accelerate the learning through every day situations - regularly invite students to parties where they could meet Japanese professionals - make excursions to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisines in LA
I am a native Japanese speaker with 3 years of experience in teaching Japanese to beginners and advanced students.
I myself have experience learning English as a second language in childhood and German as a third language in adulthood, so I understand how challenging yet exciting it is to learn a new language.
My lessons with Yukari are so helpful I’ve only had three so far and have learned so much. She makes everything super easy to understand and the lessons are so much fun; making them comforting and encouraging. She does a great job at including various cultural tips and background stories on the language. It is so interesting and useful if you ever want to go to Japan! I would highly recommend her as a teacher to anyone looking to improve their skills in this language, at ALL LEVELS!

Yukari is prompt, responsive, sweet, and easy to get along with! I love that she's a native Japanese speaker and can answer all of my questions about cultural norms and etiquette. Can't wait for more lessons with her.
What I can offer with my Japanese lessons is time spent that is unlike the traditional Japanese learning classroom. With me, there will be less of a strict schedule to follow and more flexibility to fit your needs. You will have the chance to practice and learn with someone who has the experience of learning Japanese from scratch and who understands the needs of those beginning the Japanese journey, rather than someone who has spoke it their whole life. These lessons will help build the foundation for learning Japanese, which you can use to grow and expand your learning in the future.
こんにちは！My name is Jason Ogbue. I’m starting takelessons to help students find a place where they can begin their Japanese learning, in case they don’t know where to start. I’ve been studying Japanese for 2 years with a combination of self-teaching and college classes. My goal is to help all of my students create a strong foundation for their Japanese learning that will allow them to grow on their own afterwards. If your ready to begin Japanese, go ahead and make your start with me!
It's first time for me that I teach somebody Japanese as a teacher. I've taught a lot of my foreign friends Japanese by taking about culture, travel tips and food. What I will do in my class would be having a daily conversation with me. How I studied English was I always asked questions like "what does this mean?" "how do you say this in English?" so in my classes ASK me questions about Japanese! I think it's the quickest way to learn languages :)
Hi my name is Yuna. I'm born & raised in Osaka, Japan and living in Fort Worth now. I studied English without any serious studying. I studied English by meeting & interacting with a lot of English speaking people. I would like to teach you Japanese in the same way as I learned English. So what I offer in my class is that you will have a chat with me like you are in cafe and having a fun chat with your friends! You are welcome to question me about Japanese culture, sight-seeing places, food and some travel tips too. P.S I've lived in Oahu, Hawaii too so if you guys want to have a chat with me about Hawaii hit me up too ;) I am so excited to meet you all :) Thank you!
