I use vocalizes to teach change in the voice and also different types of music to attain a better sound. I try to make it as physical as possible since so much of the effort depends on the brain. I want to help each student achieve their goal. Together we can get to that sound which is uniquely you.

About Cathryn

Hello! My name is Cathy and I have been teaching voice (singing) for over 30 years. But don't let that fool you into thinking I'm a stogy old girl who doesn't have a pulse on contemporary music. I teach pop, country, broadway, folk, whatever it is your interested in. I do teach with vocal exerc

My background in viola definitely has helped with my violin playing and teaching! I started much later than most students do and remember EVERYTHING that I struggled with, as well as how my teachers helped me to accomplish my goals. I attend Lynn Conservatory, studying with one of today's leading teachers in the country. I have taught in the ISUs nationally recognized string project, and had violin private students go on to win auditions in their youth symphonies, as well as compete at All-State successfully. I have given national and international talks at conferences all around the nation. I feel that my background education and teaching experiences have helped me be a very unique teacher having a diverse background of methodology and information to create a unique approach for each of my students.

About Abigail

I am a professional violist, chamber musician and orchestral player, as well as a professional teacher and chamber coach. Students can expect to see improvement in their sound, intonation and feel more comfortable on their instrument within a week of regular practice. I can help students find and

Learn from a born musician. I learned to play the piano when I was a child by ear. I would listen to a song I really liked and pick notes on the piano until it was identical. That skill developed over time helped me learn the saxophone with great ease and musicality.

During grade school, I was selected to be in all-county, all-state, and tri-state competitions for saxophone. I then went on to study music at FSU School of Music. I am a professional saxophone player who loves to help share the appreciation of music with those who have a desire.

In my lessons, you will learn techniques on how to best play the saxophone and read music (sight reading) and learn ear training techniques. We will study some theory and history depending on your level. Students will be expected to perform a selection of pieces in succession for an online concert periodically. We will have fun, but we will make progress. The main thing I want to leave you within your consideration of me as your teacher is ...

"Jon is very kind and friendly. He is extremely innovative and tailors the lessons to the level/needs of the student. He's a stellar musician, but is very patient and encouraging in coaching to help the student improve. He is also flexible with rescheduling lessons when necessary. "My 12 year old grandson has been playing violin since he was 5. He started playing with Nikita in August 2017. Nikita is correcting all the bad habits that have crept into RJ's playing. I can see a huge difference in his confidence as well as the quality of his playing. Nikita has been extremely patient with him and has been very flexible with his lesson times due to sports schedules. Thank you Nikita!"

"AMAZING music teacher!

I have been taking lessons with Mike since I was age 5, and am now age 25. Mike was the first person to make me feel passion and love for music. He helped me discover my talent by allowing and encouraging me to play by ear and was always incredibly supportive, patient, and kind. Lessons with Mike make me eager to practice the piano daily and I have ALWAYS looked forward to our next lesson together because of the fun and easy-going environment he creates. If it weren't for Mike, I would not continue to play the piano as often as I do as an adult. He goes above and beyond for his students and I would HIGHLY recommend him as a teacher. I know I will take lessons from him for as long as he's still teaching!"

"I had Anastasia as my piano instructor and she was great. When I came to her it was the first time I ever touched a piano so it was very challenging, but she was very accommodating to my experience level. Not only did she teach me how to play but also the theory and history of the piano. I am planning on coming back to her as soon as I can, I recommend her to anyone."
