I have been teaching cello since 1989. Cello students of all ages and levels are accepted at my studio. All levels of the cello repertoire from the beginning through the Major Concertos will be taught. Students will be placed in courses according to the level of their current repertoire. The sequence of repertoire in the Suzuki Cello School will be used to place students.

Andrew has taught a wide range of students from young (and adult) beginners to advanced university students. His teacher training, education, and playing experience has taught him that good cello playing should not only sound great, but feel natural as well. Because of this, he stresses the physical elements of cello playing in connection with a strong technical foundation, as well as the development of each student's ear and individual sense of musicality.
Andrew began playing cello in the public school system. He earned his Bachelor of Music summa cum laude from Arizona State University, where he studied with Thomas Landschoot, and his Master of Music with distinction from DePaul University with former assistant principal of the Chicago Symphony Stephen Balderston. He has performed in masterclasses for a diverse array of artists, including Andres Diaz, Bernard Greenhouse, Phillipe Muller, and Menahem Pressler, as well as the St. Lawrence, Orion, and Brentano String Quartets.
Andrew has played with the Illinois Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Southwest Michigan Symphony, and Chicago Chamber Orchestra, and maintains an active teaching and performing schedule in the Chicago area.

uzuki Institute, where he had the privilege of observing and learning from a diverse group of students and teachers.
He is also a coffee enthusiast and enjoys visiting Chicago's many unique coffee shops. In warmer weather, he can be seen biking on the lakeshore path and exploring Chicago's many diverse neighborhoods.

Andrew is calm and very patient teacher. I started the cello from a scratch with him and now I can play scales and some pieces. He plays beautifully and he knows what has to be done to improve my cello playing. I will recommend Andrew for anyone who wishes to play the cello!
I have been teaching for 18 years and have taught hundreds of satisfied students. When you sign up for lessons with me, you will begin by learning the basics of the instrument including proper holding and playing position, tone production, rhythm, first position notes, basic notation. Once you get the basics down, you will learn how to play very simple melodies and songs. All of this can happen within the first 4-6 months of playing.
Dave K. began playing guitar at the age of 10. His influences include Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny and Scott Henderson. At the age of 17 he began teaching private guitar and bass lessons to classmates from his neighborhood high school. It was through this initial experience with teaching that he realized he wanted to make music education his career. Since then he has taught private guitar and bass lessons at Naperville Music, Rossi Music, Horizon Music, and the Plainfield School of Music. In addition, he has taught orchestra, guitar, and jazz band at Rolling Meadows High School. In 2003-2009, he produced and played guitar in the Chicago based hard rock group Disonic. In 2007, Disonic singed to Darkstar Records and released the E.P. The Value of Truth. The Value of Truth was distributed in the USA and Japan. In addition, it was distributed digitally world wide on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby. In 2009 he attended VanderCook College of Music and earned a Master’s Degree in Music Education. Currently, Dave is playing bass in the Chicago rock group I Decline and guitar in the Dave K. Group. This year, Dave is releasing his first solo instrumental guitar album under his own name. In addition, he continues to teach rock, jazz and classical guitar and bass in the Chicago area.
*** Lesson Details *** As a private music instructor for the past 15 years, I personally have been granted the opportunity to teach a wide variety of music students. I have taught students ranging in age from 6 to 65. I have taught students from various ethnic and economic backgrounds. I have taught students with various physical, emotional, and learning disabilities. I realize it was the first lesson but I was a little disappointed that we spend nearly the entire time on housekeeping items, like canceling and re-scheduling appointments. I think that could have been covered with an e-mail or handout. I also thought we spent too much time going over the differences between acoustic and electric guitars - considering my age and background. Would have liked to see him demonstrate what I was asked to practice before the next lesson instead of just being told to refer to the workbook.

As the child of two working classical musicians, Morgan Little has been sleeping through rehearsals from a very young age. Born in Los Angeles, Morgan has had the opportunity to live and study cello in cities all across the United States. He started his training at DePaul University in Chicago, and after a short stint in Boston, he continued his studies as a full-tuition scholarship student at the Juilliard School, where he maintained an active role as a chamber and orchestral musician, recently playing principal cellist with Juilliard 415 on tour in Scandinavia under the direction of David Hill, and playing continuo for the Juilliard production of Dido and Aeneas in New York, London, and Versailles under the direction of Avi Stein.

I am a professional cellist who graduated from Oberlin Music Conservatory in 2016 with Bachelor of Music Performance. Since then I have been playing and teaching cello both privately and in high/middle schools. I teach people of all ages from 7 year olds to 85. I get so much joy from my students' accomplishments and personal growth. I was raised in Poland and that is where I started playing cello, and later violin and piano as well. In 2008 I moved to USA to pursue my music education. I am also interested in music therapy and healing through music and making it accessible to everyone. Christopher began playing the cello at the age of nine. Born in Chicago, he studied with Timothy Archbold, former assistant principal of the Peoria Symphony. In the fall of 2012, Christopher went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Cello Performance at the Boston Conservatory, where he studied with Andrew Mark. During his undergrad, he was a founding member of the Dracard Quartet, who became the honors ensemble for the Boston Conservatory for the 2015-2016 academic year. They were awarded the first prize in the Senior Chamber Music division of the Massachusetts American String Teacher Association String Competition as well as performing in the Museum of Fine Arts’ Sound Bite Series in Boston. Christopher has also performed in masterclasses with Colin Carr, Levon Chilingarian, Joseph Silverstein, Rhonda Rider, and Tony Arnold. While in Boston he had the opportunity to sit principal cello with the MIT Chamber Choir and Orchestra in the fall of 2015. In addition, Christopher has performed in principal and assistant principal roles with the Boston Conservatory’s Baroque Ensemble, Opera Orchestra, Sinfonietta and Symphonic Orchestra. After graduating from the Boston Conservatory, he moved back to the Chicagoland area to be closer to family, and to pursue freelance opportunities. Christopher’s goal is to build a studio in the coming years, teaching all ages and levels. In his spare time, Christopher enjoys reading, cooking, walking his dogs, playing videogames, and visiting with friends and family.
