I started playing piano when I was 5, guitar when I was 8, and I've been singing most of my life. I play in a band with two friends I've known since way back then - we wrote music then, and we still do now. I took guitar lessons until I was 12 or so, learned bass guitar and sharpened my skills thro

As corny as this sounds I’ve never known anyone with such a broad overall knowledge, experience and wisdom about music and instruments. If I have a question about my piano playing, or virtually any music question, he either has the answer or helps me find it if he doesn’t.
He is extremely knowledgeable and respectful and has more than earned my respect and gratitude.
Hiring him is one of the best choices I’ve ever made. The only regret I have is that I didn’t hire him sooner.

The key to playing music is to have fun. Whether you are just starting out or if you have been playing for some time, you should have fun with your music. That’s the first lesson I learned when my uncle let me pick up his guitar. It took me a lot of practice to be where I am now, and I learn more about playing guitar every day.
While my main goal is to help you develop your skills and interests as a guitar player, I have a deep love for songwriting. You can learn so much just from hearing a well written song, and even if writing isn’t something you are reading interested in, I hope I can help you develop a deeper appreciation for the craft.
If you take anything away from these lessons I hope it’s this: everyone learns at their own pace. What you know and what you take away from a lesson will be your own, and it might not be the same thing that someone else takes away from that lesson. And no matter who you are learning from, have fun!
Hi! My name is Scott, or Scooter, whichever you prefer. I’ve had a love for music since I was a little kid. When I was younger I would walk around the house whistling all day, despite my dad constantly asking me to stop, and the older I got it turned into drumming on whatever I could get my hands o

I am a professional pianist/keyboardist with 20 years of playing experience. Teachers I've studied with include Crystl Baltazar, Dr. Yuni Kim, and Allison Franzetti. Presently, I perform for many musicals and local gigs in the US Tri-State area. In our lessons, we will cover material ranging from scales, to arpeggios, classical pieces, Broadway/musical theatre bops, anime/video game music, Top 40/pop tunes, or music that you want to bring to the table! (Jazz, not so much unfortunately. I'm not too great at jazz at this point in my career.) Curriculum is flexible, and dependent on your interests. Of course, we will focus on areas to grow and improve upon, and make sure to have mini goals we want to achieve throughout this journey.
Additionally, I teach VOICE, beginner flute, basic ...

Dan's great he's fun and patient..the whole family likes him. An extra bonus is hearing him play while he's here instructing my 9 year old granddaughter."
student in music education at Georgia State University. He may be the
most deeply musical person I have ever known. My sense was that,
though he was a performer of the absolute highest caliber, he was
equally passionate about teaching.
When I initially contacted Bill to schedule lessons, I explained that
I was visually impaired. I wanted to share this information with him
upfront in the event that he had questions or concerns about teaching
me. I remember him saying clearly, “I am aware of the possibilities.”
That was all I needed to hear to feel comfortable entering his studio.
Bill encouraged me to take on any challenge in the clarinet
literature that interested me. He used every possible metaphor he
could think of to communicate ideas that were more easily accessed if
you could simply look at the printed page. He was always warm and
friendly, but focused, never wasting one second of our time together.
Following my work with Bill, I attended The University of Michigan
where, though I was a music education doctoral student, I was
instantly welcomed into one of the clarinet studios. Bill’s creative
work with me played an enormous role in making that happen. Now, I am
a community college professor, teaching a variety of classes including
a studio class for instrumental music students. I often find myself
using the same examples Bill employed with me to help my current
students. I am profoundly grateful for his unyielding commitment to my
growth when I was a student of his."
I love my piano class. I'm learning a lot. I'm happy with my teacher. She's fun and I love to hear her play the piano. I want to play like her. I'm thankful to have found a great piano teacher."
