Kim is a gentle, playful soul. I enjoyed every lesson because she found the positive each time while kindly educating me on areas for improvement. Kim sends out an email with a summary of the lesson and a reminder of the assigned practice for the week. If you are considering voice lessons, you’ll find no one better!
Kim is incredibly knowledgeable in all genres/ styles of voice. I was fairly nervous to begin my singing journey in my 20s. However, Kim’s patience and encouragement really helped me to break out of my shell. She encouraged me to push myself and try new things. This really paid off. I learned a lot of warm ups, techniques, and songs. She truly cares about her students. She also emailed me a detailed note after each lesson summarizing what we worked on, and reminded me what I should practice. I hope to take my newfound instrument with me to an open mic night soon!
Kim was my singing teacher for a few months before I went to college. As an excellent and knowledgeable singer herself, she always had the right input and guidance on anything I wanted to sing. Lessons felt self guided and relaxed, which helped me come out of my shell to do my own performances.

Deborah's expertise and professionalism are a pleasant surprise when you consider how young she is. I have met teachers that are decades older than her who do not have the ability to accurately tell you exactly what you are doing wrong or how you can correct it. You hear a lot of, "just keep practicing and it will sort itself out" from other instructors, and this could cause you to develop bad habits that could affect your voice. Deborah is the opposite of that.

She pinpoints exactly what I am doing wrong during my lesson and offers suggestions on how to correct it going forward. I appreciate that because if your instructor doesn't tell you, your audience will. And you might not like how they say it. I am there to go beyond just singing in the shower, and her constructive criticism only makes me better. She is also polite when she corrects you, she's not cracking the whip.

She focuses immediately on different techniques that will help you improve your voice so that you can PROGRESS, instead of just banging out scales on the piano lesson after lesson and overlooking mistakes a student may make like some instructors do. I hate to be this blunt, but there are some instructors I have met in the past who do just that (none of them are from takelessons) to me it shows a devotion to the art and a commitment to bringing out the best voice that you have she wants you to be as good as her! To me no one could ask for any more than that in a voice instructor. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a teacher.

Deborah is a wonderful teacher. She is patience, caring, understanding, knowledgeable, and motivating. I HIGHLY recommend Deborah as a vocal coach.
Sarita G.
Just as she promise ;work on breathing first, usually I like some time go by before I make a comment but the first introduction went so well, I have a positive outlook of my future practice. I have my questions answer and I also understand them as well. I am sure I have more and have confidence they will be answer....

He is professional, knowledgable, supportive, encouraging, experienced, etc etc etc. I am a singer songwriter and was looking to get my voice in shape (took a break for a while). He knew exactly how to help me. Absolutely love him as a person and an instructor. He has so much to offer. "Learning so much

My voice instructor is the best in all areas. She is developing me into a skilled singer. Lorna is teaching me how to use all of the techniques and exercises into my everyday singing ministry. For instance, before I stared taking lessons with Lorna I always had a problem while singing in the area of going from the low register to the high smoothly, and being able to sing on my palate. I am pleased with her abilities to teach and bring out the best in an individual."
Took Singing lessons from Lorna L.
"Lauren was a fantastic singing teacher for my daughter at Shepherd University. My 9 year old at the time daughter can be shy and Lauren picked up on that quickly. She was able to get her to be more confident in her performance and she definitely picked up new techniques as well. The only reason we stopped taking lessons was due to Lauren moving on to another school because otherwise we definitely would have continued with her."
Took Singing lessons from Lauren F.
"Stephanie is truly a gem. I feel like I'm growing in a different way then before with her vocal lessons. She really takes the time to go through a song and doesn't rush you and I really feel myself learning new technics. I'm so happy to have her on my side to learn and I can't wait to see what's next."
Took Singing lessons from Stephanie H.
"Indigo is amazing! Extremely supportive, talented, and warm. As a super beginner, I noticed a dramatic change in just 5 lessons. She intuitively knows just what to do to open your voice and guide you. I felt immediately comfortable with her and she's very professional. She's a magic one! Couldn't recommend more highly."
Took Singing lessons from Indigo S.
"This is my first lesson and I really love this lady she is happy and excited about teaching and she makes me feel comfortable learning. She also is flexible in allowing me to use my type of music that I am and will be singing.
I feel that I am going to enjoy my voice lessons,

Singing Lessons for Kids: 10 Ways to Support Your Child

If your son or daughter loves to sing, a private teacher can teach him or her how to sing correctly and stay excited about learning! Here, St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares 10 ways you can support your child throughout the journey...   Kids are simply made to sing. In most of the lessons that I teach, no matter the student's age, I inevitably find myself teaching her how to be a kid in some way. Shaking out tense muscles, dancing to the beat, making animal sounds, keeping it …
