Kait is a vocal coach, songwriter, arranger, producer and sound engineer. She works hard to make sure her clients learn how to get their best in home recordings as well as learn solid methods on how to be efficient and successful in their professional studio experiences.

Kait uses and is well-versed in GarageBand and has been using it since it was first released in January 2004. She offers individualized one-on-one coaching designed to move at whatever pace a student is ready for at the time they begin.

Kait does NOT teach people how to become professional sound engineers. Her focus and set up is for helping primarily vocal artists record their songs, be they original or cover material. Hi there and thanks for visiting! I have been playing guitar, singing, writing and producing music for the greater part of my life. My endeavor is to guide you to an understanding of one or many of these facets and give you the tools you need to become your own teacher as you continue down this path.

Below is a brief synopsis about the lessons I teach:

Guitar/Songwriting:
There will be very little music theory. I never needed much of it to write my own music, other than a few basic theories to get around successfully, so it’s not something we’ll spend a whole lot of time on. I have organized and constructed a course book to keep things lively and moving along efficiently. I call it NOTEbOOK. It’s also great refresher material to revisit in the future.

As a professional sessions musician, film composer, as well as a producer of many artists and performers, I have years of professional in studio recording experience and a background in multiple DAWS, plug-ins, outboard gear and MIDI applications.

I was a Music Production and Engineering major at Berklee, so I can instruct anyone on the most common DAW platforms today. This includes Pro Tools, GarageBand, and Logic.
