The musical and academic success of my students is my number one priority! Each person's voice is unique and special to them, no one else has the voice that YOU have; therefore, I approach each and every student differently by tailoring a very personal and individual lesson plan for each of my students. I take a very holistic approach and encourage my students to use their whole body when singing to maintain a healthy instrument.

Michelle has been teaching Singing for over 10 years and her students have gone on to study music performance, classical voice and musical theater at the college and university levels. Some of her students wish to improve their singing abilities purely for their own enjoyment and fulfillment. Others have had great success with variety of singing achievements including school performances, competitions, community theater as well as going on to professional level performance opportunities. Within the first few lessons, you'll begin to get to know your unique authentic voice, have a greater understanding of how to use it in healthy ways and how to better cultivate your personal singing goals. As time goes on you'll gain the confidence and skills necessary to support you on your unique musical journey. Taking voice lessons online makes sense at this time. Take from an instructor with 47 years of experience teaching vocal music--privately, in the public schools, directing church choirs and barbershop choruses. I will work with you on your vocal technique (breathing, vowels, timbre, ear-training, etc.), sight-reading and applying those skills to repertoire that fits your preferred styles.

I love teaching and I have been doing it for 14 years. I started teaching as an adjunct professor at Florida State University while receiving my Masters degree in vocal performance. I have gone on to sing with small Opera companies, Universal Studios, and cruise ships. However, teaching is something that I remain passionate about. For me it is rewarding to see my students grow as performers and become stronger singers.

I am a professional opera singer, active performer, and avid teacher of voice. As a classically trained vocalist with undergraduate and masters degrees in vocal performance, I have well grounded classical training and am well-acquainted with classical repertoire. I hope to create well-rounded musicians who, in addition to being great singers, have knowledge in music theory and general musicianship.
