About Dominik
Hi, I'm Dominik and I graduated with a piano performance degree and a music education degree with trumpet from Metropolitan State University of Denver where I studied with Professor Hsing-Ay Hsu, and Dr. Micheal Hengst. I began music at 8 years old, with piano lessons under Ann Riggs. A few years later, I also began trumpet lessons and joined several choirs. I continued exploring music, traveling with community choirs and bands, and joined the piano program at the Denver School of the Arts during High School. I really enjoy ensemble performance and I've participated in wind ensembles, orchestr
as, chamber ensembles, accompanying, brass ensembles, and pit orchestra for musical theatre while attending Metro State University.

I really enjoy teaching music and believe that each student can accomphlish many great things through music. I have been trained in and have performed in many different genres and styles and offer a wide range of musical knowledge to meet my students needs.

Dominik is an excellent teacher who connects well to the kids. We only used him briefly for our kids but wish we hadn't committed to a friend of a friend for future lessons. If things don't work out with the new teacher, we hope Dominik will be available to come back.

Michael has been a great bagpipe teacher for our eight year old son. He is encouraging and patient in equal measure. His music choices have been well considered and appreciated. I was concerned about the efficacy of online lessons but it has all gone very smoothly and we haven't had any technical glitches. Despite the physical distance Michael has developed a personalized relationship with our son and it is clear that there is respect in both directions. Thank you very much!

About Kevin
I truly enjoy teaching. I've taught in the public school classroom for 11 years. Teaching music is so so much FUN! And it should be fun for the students to learn. When I'm teaching I tell all my students that if they don't enjoy and smile about something, then we need to change something.

I would love to start lessons with you soon.

About Ted
Hello to my prospective future students!
My name is Ted and I teach in the Denver/Lakewood area. I've been playing cello for 10 years and have experience in almost everything performers are doing with the cello in the 21st century, including: Classical performance, recording, gigging, improvisation, looping and effects, and arranging cello performances of many pop songs.
I teach with a set curriculum in mind that bends to where my individual students' passions lie; no matter what your goal is with the cello, I believe l will be able to guide my students in achieving it.
The biggest f
actor that keeps me dedicated to the cello is how much fun I have playing it, and I do my best to create this passion in my students.

Below is a short biography:

Ted Leininger began playing cello after listening to a video game soundtrack that had a great cello part in it. After that, he never stopped. Starting as the last chair cellist, he was in an advanced orchestra group by his senior year of high school.

After graduating, he studied under Charles Lee, the Principal cellist of the Boulder philharmonic. There, he thoroughly studied classical technique before transferring to UCDenver as a double major in Cello performance and Audio Engineering. He studies various types of music, pursuing genres like Jazz and Bluegrass in addition to Classical. He regularly performs with independent singer-songwriters and is actively gigging as a studio musician and band member.

Hard work and discipline (not to mention having fun) can create many opportunities for an inexperienced cellist. Ted strives to create the same passion for music in his students that he has enjoyed throughout his career. He employs a similar teaching style to his professors that he has studied under, but also realizes the relevance of the cello to modern music and teaches any genre on cello. He prescribes to the philosophy that the biggest reason for learning an instrument is so that you can eventually transcend it.

The 10 Best Songs for Sight Singing Practice
Sight singing practice is an excellent way to round out your skills as a vocalist. Here, Saint Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares the 10 best songs to get started with...   Attending my alma mater, Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, was a lot like going to sight singing boot camp. Every student who attends, despite his or her major or instrument, must sing for four years in the college's professional choirs. Though many organists and pianists are annoyed at f
The 10 Best Guitar Soloists of All Time
As with any top 10 list, ranking the best guitar soloists is not an easy feat. Guitar solos are incredibly subjective, and what pleases one fan might make someone else plug their ears. My list is based on years of listening to and loving classic rock, indie music, and pop. If there's anyone I left out or anything you would change, I hope you'll let me know in the comments. 10. Hey you—guitar player—you may not know it, but you’re actually an elite member in a group of very special people—people who play the guitar. Sure, there are a lot of us out there, but there are still many others of all ages who are mystified by our moves, flummuxed by our finger work and down right impressed with our axes.
