Playing the violin wasn't originally very fun for me. I didn't enjoy practicing or learning music until my parents bought some sheet music for popular songs, and I would play along with them. This really made playing the violin enjoyable, and this new love for playing made me stick with it. I want my students to have fun while also learning valuable techniques that will be beneficial to their success with the instrument. This is executed through the combination of classical repertoire, scales and etudes, and pieces/songs chosen by the student.

About Adam

When I was first starting to play the violin, I didn't really enjoy it. I was often told I wasn't good enough and I would never amount to anything with it. It really took the fun out of playing. I ended up taking lessons from a fantastic teacher, who saw my potential, and really gave me a love of m

I teach children starting at 7 years old, all the way to adults. I teach each player proper playing technique that can be used for classical playing, fiddle-playing and pop music. I also teach music theory and sheet reading alongside violin technique. I tailor each lesson to the students wants and needs.

I have been playing violin for 20 years and have been trained in classical and Fiddle style playing. I also have a full knowledge of Music Theory and how to read sheet music. I believe that learning should be fun and rewarding.

Peter has not only honed my daughter's previous skills, but introduced techniques and music theory that was completely new to her. Peter has sought out music that will challenge and interest my daughter specifically. We've been very pleased.
Brian
Peter is an extremely patient and knowledgeable teacher; it has been a privilege studying the piano and cello with him for the past 2 months. In that brief time, I have completed 16 of the 17 pieces in the first Suzuki book for cello! I have also enjoyed the piano exercises and repertoire he has assigned, which are technical but melodious. He has a great understanding of theory and technique; he is very personable and encouraging; and he was flexible and accommodating about the times and modes (in person and online) for my lessons. I recommend him wholeheartedly to other adult beginners like me and am grateful to be under his tutelage.

"Maestro Mazzamuto isn't only a wonderful teacher but also a patient and emphatic pedagogue: from the very first lesson he was able to musically connect with me, understanding what my fears were performing and learning a really difficult instrument as we all know the violin is. Even though I started the violin as an older student (26 y.o) he has been able to help me produce a nice tone in a really short time thanks to his great method. All of this being said Mr. Mazzamuto always encouraged me and pushed me to be better giving me enthusiasm to keep practicing."

"I started lessons with Panagiota as an adult with zero expectations. After completing a year of lessons with her, what I’ve been able to accomplish has far exceeded my expectations. Panagiota is always patient, kind, and encouraging. She always helps point out when I might be developing a bad habit or my timing is slightly off. I’m now learning second position and am on Suzuki Book 3. Panagiota is a phenomenal teacher and if you apply a strong work ethic, I say anything is possible under her tutelage :)"
