Playing the violin wasn't originally very fun for me. I didn't enjoy practicing or learning music until my parents bought some sheet music for popular songs, and I would play along with them. This really made playing the violin enjoyable, and this new love for playing made me stick with it. I want my students to have fun while also learning valuable techniques that will be beneficial to their success with the instrument. This is executed through the combination of classical repertoire, scales and etudes, and pieces/songs chosen by the student.

After more than 12 years of teaching experience my lessons got to the perfect point of balance of being fun and educative, engaging but not overwhelming, personalized but keeping up with the national stanidards so you can see progress, you will feel like practicing and being able to play with others. I teach children starting at 7 years old, all the way to adults. I teach each player proper playing technique that can be used for classical playing, fiddle-playing and pop music. I also teach music theory and sheet reading alongside violin technique. I tailor each lesson to the students wants and needs.

I have been playing violin for 20 years and have been trained in classical and Fiddle style playing. I also have a full knowledge of Music Theory and how to read sheet music. I believe that learning should be fun and rewarding.

Instructions are based on custom curriculum for every student. The curriculum is based on student's desires and abilities and compiled from multiple sources.
