As your instructor, my primary focus will be on getting to know you as a player, student and person. Everybody learns differently and has their own interests when it comes to music. I want to help make you the most well-rounded musician you can be, even if your focus is strictly one genre. Over my 6 years of professional teaching experience I have developed an effective, simple set of eloquent tools that can be applied to all styles. I'm familiar with many techniques (fingers or pick) and am enthusiastic to learn any new ones I come across through teaching. Do you want to learn a new technique, understand the fretboard more, or learn how to play music by ear? All these things and much more will be possible with me as your instructor.
I graduated with my Bachelors of Music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington in 2015. Since then, I have been teaching private instruction, composing and performing professionally in bands or solo as my career. I've done many different gigs as a bassist, guitarist, vocalist and pi

Singing is my passion and I have recently received my Master’s degree in classical vocal performance at the Mannes School of Music. Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in opera, recital, musical theatre, and choir performances and competitions in the US as well as internationally. I have acquired many different tools for teaching through my studies and performance experience.
Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Styles that I teach include art song, opera, musical theater, and pop with a focus on building a solid and healthy vocal technique. My experience in dance, Alexander Technique, and acting informs my teaching approach. I include body awareness, character interpretation, and making the music come alive as an integral part of the lessons.
I love to teach and enjoy helping others discover their voices and achieve their personal singing goals. My voice teachers have greatly impacted my life and my goal is to inspire my students in a similar way. Everyone ...

I have over 10 years of experience in tutoring arithmetic and basic math, as well as a lifetime of study. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division form the cornerstone of arithmetic. However, many children and adults struggle in basic math because of poor arithmetic skills. I quickly pinpoint specific struggle spots and provide structured support so all students strengthen and improve their understanding of arithmetic operations. I share simpler methods and processes so they can easily find the right answers by themselves. I also explain how these important operations extend to successfully learning other concepts, including factoring, fractions, decimals, exponents, scientific notations, percents, ratios, proportions, and word problems.
For more than 11 years, my goal as a tutor has been steadfast: I help students learn more and make progress in their studies. I don't just teach them how to count, read, and write: I show them how to build on their skills and reach their true potential. I know from my own experience how hard it is t

Marjorie has taught me and my two daughters to sing since they were 7 years old. She has improved their ear and given them voices that are nothing short of jaw dropping.
Her kind, patient yet no nonsense approach to the art of singing allowed my daughters to feel comfortable, cared for and at the same time gave them an appreciation for hard work and how that hard work pays off. For this I am eternally grateful.
If you want to learn to sing or improve your voice from where it is now, hire Marjorie. You'll be the luckiest person on the planet if she's able to take you on as a student."

Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro says “ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to play, and you don’t have to be a musician to play it.” But if you’re just starting out, can you really teach yourself how to play ukulele? While it’s certainly possible to teach yours …
