Michelle feels it is incredibly important that all vocal/singing students have at least a basic understanding of music theory, reading music and ear training. This greatly assists them as they mature as a singer and as a performer, giving them the confidence, skills and knowledge to thrive in their musical endeavors. Michelle designs a specific curriculum for each student’s goals and needs so that these important music skills can be fun and accessible to anyone.

About Michelle

I believe that everyone can sing, it is just a matter of learning how to use your own unique instrument. From a very young age, as a performer, I was sharing my love of the arts with others. I grew up with an immense appreciation for the self-expression and creativity that result from all forms of a

Jeremy Is amazing!

Jeremy was great! My daughter’s first lesson went very well. Her first instructor joined the military, so we were left to select someone new. By God’s grace and a lot of help from Michael at TakeLessons, we landed on Jeremy’s profile. We couldn’t have gotten a better instructor the second time around! It’s like an extension of the first lessons! Jeremy is knowledgeable, kind, sincere, laid back, patient, and encouraging. What more could we ask for? As a mother, I really appreciate his communication with me via phone and email. If you are looking for a great instructor, you can do no better than Jeremy!

Stephen's a great instructor both from a technical and personable perspective.

He's got a cornucopia of musical knowledge that's evident from how speaks to how he teaches. If you like any film score, chances are he knows how to play it.

Speaking as a beginner, I can say he's been very patient and knows a bunch of exercises and books to learn everything thing from theory to practical pieces to finger exercises.

He provides constructive guidance on what you're doing wrong, and I'm happy to see myself improve under his tutorage. (oh and if you're a sci-fi fan, you'll have a lot in common with him)

Steve makes sure that I stay on task and that I am progressing with my piano skills all while making the lessons fun and enjoyable.

1st lesson went great! Ms. Depauw is knowledgeable with music theory, and techniques that I am using to help me re-learn sharps, this includes practicing scales (groan).
