Our daughter had a great time with Rebecca for the 18 months she took flute lessons from her. We saw her level improve very quickly and she was able to jump ahead in her school orchestra after only 2 months with Rebecca as a new flute student. Rebecca is a professional but also a lot of fun. We highly recommend her.

About Orla
Hi there!

My name is Orla and I love singing and teaching others to sing! I began my vocal training at the age of 12 learning how to sing classical and musical theater music. I eventually went on to learn jazz and rock vocal techniques before going to Berklee College of Music in Boston where I learned how to sing celtic music and alternative contemporary styles.

The most important thing to me when working with singers of any age or ability is helping them learn the correct techniques to keep their voices safe and healthy while singing. With this strong foundation, my students will be able to achieve almost any style or level of singing they desire. It is totally possible to stretch your vocal range, learn a new style, or incorporate movement into your songs if you simply use the correct and healthy vocal techniques!
I also make s
ure to focus a lot on confidence and stage presence to help students prepare for upcoming auditions, showcases, concerts, and talent shows. With my voice lessons it is absolutely possible to transition out of your stage fright and own that stage like you were born to be there, because you were!! These are not only vocal coaching sessions, but complete performance-ready-workshops.
I am here to make all your singing and vocal performance dreams come true! I can't wait to sing with you :)

Orla did a great job with my 11 year old daughter. She explained how as a young student, vocal chords are still developing and how to care for them during singing. My daughter really connected with her and enjoyed her first lesson.

About Elisa
Hi, there! My name is Elisa Alfonso and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2012 and have loved helping my students learn and/or improve their flute playing, learn/improve their Spanish, and improve their general understanding of music. I went to East Carolina University and earned my BM in Music Performance and a BA in Hispanic Studies in 2016. I strive to make lessons both a fun and productive experience for students, and will use the educational goals that the student identifies to structure custom lesson plans for that student. I strongly believe in explaining the reasoning behind activities so students understand the goals that they are working towards in our lessons, and I am passionate about helping my students succeed. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

About Daniel
I have a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. I currently run the Computer Lab at an elementary school in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been running the Computer Lab since the 2013/2014 school year. In the Computer Lab I have been teaching Elementary Math and Typing and Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. In college, I learned math all the way up to Calculus 2. I also type between 60 and 70 WPM (Words per Minute). I speak, natively, the Standard American dialect of English. I also speak the Castillian dialect of Spanish.

Teaching is a recently discovered professional passion of mine. I love working with kids and I relate to them really well. At this writing, I'm currently exploring the world of tutoring and I may expand my list of subjects as I get a better feel for things.

Are you still reading? Great, I'll keep wri
ting. If you know about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I'm an INTJ (Introverted iNtuititive Thinking Judging). If you know Astrology, I prefer the Sidereal Zodiac, I'm Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Scorpio Rising. I have passed the Mensa entrance exam.

I'm a gamer, a computer nerd and, possibly, a part-time otaku. I love watching cartoons and Anime, especially action/adventure shows. In World of Warcraft my preferred character is the Worgen/Tauren Feral Druid with the Engineering Profession. I love Sword Art Online, Accel World, Log Horizon and Miraculous Ladybug. I've read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and pretty much anything mythological written by Rick Riordan. I'm an avid reader of both Young Adult science fiction and fantasy and books that teach interesting and unusual subjects.

My daughter was taking advance elementary math. It covered concepts in Pre-Algebra at times. When she needed assistance with a concept, Mr. Reavis was able to help her understand the concept. He is very good with math.

Daniel Reavis is a really good teacher. He corrected my math homework to help me get it correct and so I could do it correctly myself. When I got the correct answers to the problems at school, most of them were correct but occasionally I got some wrong. Then again, I went to Challenger School and they were teaching me things that he probably hadn't learned when he was at school.

About Marlon
I work as a flight attendant, so I still live in Brazil nowadays (but I fly to Florida about every week). This makes me up to date regarding brazilian culture, and the latest trends in my country. I can teach you about language the way people speak on the streets, or even accents of different brazilian regions.

I can teach you grammar, but I tend to use a neurolinguistic method, where grammar is not the focus of the learning process. This is based on a process where a child acquire his native language skills from listening and repeating language structures, and not with a formal grammar study. This method tries to reproduce that.

Anyway, I can adapt the lessons to your specific need.

About Amy
I am a currently practicing Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (and French) and a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology. I have taken psychology courses in everything from social psychology to parenting psychology.

I have not officially taught these subjects, but was a supplemental instructor in a general psychology classroom for three years in college and an assistant to a graduate professor. Part of my responsibilities as a supplemental instructor was to hold small group study sessions and provide one on one support to students who were struggling.

Additionally, I worked in the writing center in my graduate school helping other students with professional papers, resumes/CVs, essays, and research papers with grammar, writing style, and APA style.

As part of obtaining my bachelor's degre
e in French, I lived in Paris, France for 5 months as a study abroad student and also did extensive individual study in the language in order to obtain my degree. I feel most comfortable helping beginning French students who hope to practice their language skills and learn basic vocabulary and sentence structure.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for psychology and/or the French language!
