I love Suyeon so much! She is such an a amazing teacher and extremely patient. I remember she would teach me a word and ask me to repeat it and I would instantly forget it, she simply didn't get angry and taught me the word in a different way so I could remember it. My Korean is improving everyday and I couldn't have gotten this far without you. 선생님 감사합니다!!! :)

About Yeonsoon

Hi, I am a Korean tutor. I was born and had been educated in Seoul, Korea. I love travel, TV shows, and lovely songs. I guarantee you these methods are quite effective and fun way to learn language. If there is somebody struggling to learn Korean or planning to go to Korea etc., please feel free to talk to me and I am glad to help you on that.

I graduated with my BA in English. Ever since I started tutoring Korean, I realize this is my thing. I teach all different levels, beginner, intermediate, and advance. For beginner-level students, it would be important not only to learn basic grammar an

d expressions but to realize how fun this language is to learn. For intermediate-level students, I will provide class materials with more complex grammar and expressions. For those who are upper-intermediate or advanced-level, we can think about what we use as our lesson materials. They can be new article, books, and movies etc.

I usually get an idea of teaching materials from students while they talk about their hobbies and interests. If you start a Korean lesson with me, you would not feel learning Korean is work but more like enjoying fun activity.

Let me know if you have any help with learning this language. It is alright to ask me about effective tips to study Korean or whatever you are curious about. I will look forward to hearing from you :-)

I taught myself Korean. So, I understand the struggles that everyone goes through when learning Korean and I have figured out all the tricks and ways of learning the language. I have perfected the Korean accent, have received a certificate from the Korean government confirming my Korean language abilities, and I have taught a Korean class in association with IYF (International Youth Foundation) at Temple University.

About Natalie

*** I am currently living in London so my time zone is British Summer Time (EST +5)! Please remember that when scheduling lessons, Thank you!***
I understand how hard it is to be able to learn a second language. Having taught myself Korean, I have found how to have fun learning a new language, how to effectively learn the language, and how to squeeze it into a busy schedule. That's why I am flexible with my teaching schedule. If the one posted on my page doesn't work for you, email me and we can work something out!

I have been to South Korea four times and have intensively studied both the South and North Korean cultures, so feel free to ask me any questions. I want this class to be focused on your needs and what you want to learn - whether it be vocab, grammar, culture, or everything!

I can read, write, speak, make jokes, and even

make play-on-word jokes in Korean. I have received a certification from the Korean government confirming my proficiency in the Korean language, and I have taught a Korean course in association with IYF (International Youth Foundation) at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have also studied at Yonsei University (연세대학교), one of South Korea's top schools and the country's oldest school, for the spring of 2018 and will be continuing my education at SOAS in London this upcoming fall for my Masters.

The lessons are for my 16 year old daughter, so I haven't experienced them myself. But I can tell from all of the information she passes on, that Natalie is an excellent teacher. She customizes the lessons to my daughter's interests and skill level. I am so glad that I was able to get connected to her through take lessons.com.

Natalie is an incredible Korean teacher. Her lessons are always relevant, engaging, and useful. And having learned Korean herself, she knows the challenges that English speakers face and is great at helping others overcome those challenges. I owe it to Natalie for helping me get my Korean to where it is today!

If you are traveling to Korea, visiting, working, studying, or just interested in the language, Korean, I can help you talk to native Koreans. I've lived in Korea for 25 years and wanted to be a Korean teacher. While I was in college, I did volunteer work helping foreigners that lived there learn Korean. I’m waiting for passionate students!

About Jane

If you are traveling to Korea, visiting, working, studying, or just interested in the language, Korean, I can help you talk to native Koreans. I've lived in Korea for 25 years and wanted to be a Korean teacher. While I was in college, I did volunteer work helping foreigners that lived there learn Korean. I also helped my husband study Korean during the time he was stationed there in the Army. I taught them many things including pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and speaking formalities. Before all the above, the very first thing you need to do is studying the Korean alphabet, Hangeul. Knowing the alphabet, Hangeul will enable you to read every single word and sentences with no problem. As an English learner, I do understand difficulties learning a foreign language.

I like helping other people, learning things, and teaching others my

knowledge. I love languages and especially my native, The Korean language. That’s the reason why I’ve tutored students in Korean till now, and I’m so happy to be a helper for those who are interested in my country or Korean language. I’m eager to try different ways to teach not to be stuck with the same teaching-learning method. Also, I prefer studying a language using real-life examples to that only from books. I look for sources for Korean learning in real life to teach students real Korean in fun ways. Lesson materials are provided, but you can also share your book or things you want to learn in the lesson. Lessons are taught with the provided lesson materials, but your needs can be treated in the lesson as well. I want to be a teacher who is sometimes like a friend! It’s okay to text me when you have any questions related to Korean outside your lesson time. You may need a partner to work on your conversation skills, maybe preparing for working or study abroad, or just interested in learning a new language. I’ve coached students to achieve all the above. Whether young or old, man or woman, you are welcome if you have a willingness to learn the language, so let me know. I’ll do my best to teach you Korean till you achieve your goals. Let's get started!

I came to USA at age of 15 and learned English in Mid-West most of my life. I love using idioms in both language. In Korean up-to-dated direct translation of "you're welcome" is "what?" why? because they meant "oh no what are you talking about? don't mention it"
Let's learn the language while having fun. Take a lesson from me.

About Johan

Johan here and I love music! Nice to meet you fellow music lover.

I have been involved in music since I was just a child. It started with learning piano, then guitar, ukulele, mandolin, harmonica, djembe and so many more.

I’ve continued to learn and perfect my craft by being apart of different types of bands from small to large with varying genres of music. I also formalized my music education with a bachelor of Art in Music. Did I mention I’m also quite a harmonizer? Sign up today and maybe I’ll throw in some tips with your instrument lesson.

Johan is great with kids! My son is a very active child, and he was able to make the lesson fun and engaging. More than that, I enjoyed seeing Johan be creative, listen to the child, and make music fun, more than being it a lesson (per say). I highly recommend Johan!

To Whom It May Concern:

Lee Youngju taught at Jochiwon Daedong Elementary School for four years as a homeroom teacher and an English
specialist. She was very dedicated and devoted to her many teachings and administrative duties as well as to her students. I have observed that Teacher Lee is a responsible and passionate teacher who has broad experience and knowledge; however, notwithstanding these qualifications, she has an open mind and observes the rules of social etiquette. I recommend Ms. Lee in the confidence that she will be a superior teacher in your school. I know that she will bring her exceptional creativity and organization to any school she teaches in.
