I'm a professional musician and audio engineer. I'm a classically trained pianist and I offer lessons in piano, guitar, voice, music theory, music recording, music performance and songwriting.

I received my music education from The Brooklyn Music School, Cornell University and the The Institute of Audio Research.

I perform in original & cover bands as a keyboardist and back up singer. I also do work for hire session recordings and have composed music for commercials and short films.

As an audio engineer, I record, mix, edit, arrange, master and program demos, EPs albums, mix-tapes, karaoke tracks and ringtones. I also produce as well. I co-own a project recording studio in Brooklyn, NY called Radian Studios.

I'm very passionate about what I do and I guarantee a creative, enjoyable and fulfilling experience!

*** Le
sson Details ***
For piano and voice, I incorporate basic music theory methods but I also focus on ear training as well. My ultimate goal when teaching is for the student to have a visceral experience while playing or singing.

For audio engineering, I go over audio recording techniques and the tools & equipment needed to produce a professional sounding song.

I enjoy imparting my knowledge of music to others and I demonstrate that enthusiasm in my teaching style. I love relating what I'm teaching a student to his/her learning style. Figuring out how someone learns is a key component to my method and I'm a better instructor because of it.

*** Studio Equipment ***
lives in a brownstone three story home with recording studio f/w 88 keys seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
Piano, a keyboard with 88 keys and sustain pedal.

*** Specialties ***
Classical, music theory and ear training

Although I have a love of music, it's been a long time since I played any kind of instrument. During my first lesson, Andrew was very patient and knowledgeable. When I later read his background, I was blown away and consider myself fortunate to being able to learn from him.

Most importantly, we are having fun while taking this journey! I can also work with you/your child on acting monologues and/or sides for auditions. I specialize in teaching strings (violin, viola, cello, upright bass) to kids & adults age 4 & up. Yes, you can start at any age. I use the Essential Elements for Strings and the G'DAE colored violin notes.

Lessons should be fun, and you should enjoy it more and more each time you come. That is why I teach not only classical music, but current popular music that is played on the radio. I like to hear the students opinions, and see their reaction when they play songs they can recognize. Sure, technique and posture are taught, but it is in a fun safe environment. I also teach th
at it is okay to make a mistake. There is no judgment in my class, and if you need more time or more help then that is what you get.

I started my teaching career when I was a college student. In Japan, I taught both English and Japanese to middle and high school students at a private academy. I have also taught Japanese to adults especially the spouses stationed in Japan and also at community college. I have the Master of Education in TESL; therefore, I’ve taught English more vigorously, but know what it takes to be successful at second language acquisition. I really find it rewarding to teach those who are interested in Japanese language and culture.

I like to get to know your learning styles and what motivates you. I will cater to your needs and make your own lesson plan just for you.

I love teaching and discovering my own culture through the eyes of the students. I love to meet new people and just love the people who want to learn a foreign language. It gives y
ou an opportunity to widen your view of the world!

I’ve also played the piano since I was 3 years old and have the Yamaha certification; therefore, I teach piano too. I also love to play!!

Hello! I've been with the guitar for the last decade of my life. It has been the center of it all, and has been and continues to be my ultimate passion. I've had great guitar teachers in the past that have enabled me to do what I do, and it is my goal to simply return the favor to others.

My lessons will not be authoritative, I am as much a student of music as anyone who has ever played an instrument. I will simply be able to provide you the tools, concepts, and perspectives on music that will help unleash your own creativity. I deal with any and all styles of music and skill levels on the guitar. I want these lessons to be about music, and about YOU! I look forward to hearing from you! :) Keep practicing!
