***ADDRESSES WITHIN REMOTE AREAS (no public transit or bicycle access) DIFFICULT TO SERVICE PHYSICALLY. Lesson cancellations and schedule changes need to be submitted through Takelessons.com student website, relieve busy teacher from multiple informal requests***

My style and attitude toward teaching is a balance between subject delivery and reflective, supportive interaction. I seek to enable current research on education for busy, yet goal-driven student interests. This is done through customized online lessons coordinating the experience with optimal resources and tools: ESL and Speech students learn to monitor their own phonological issues with dedicated software/feedback, guiding German students through conversational dialogues, and ensuring relevant resources for Excel and related productivity lessons.

Due to my limited funds
, I do not have direct experience with the Adobe suite, but I have extensive knowledge of related, free distributions that are transferable. Possibly the only PhD on Takelessons server from a regionally accredited university, I am a member of the American Council on Foreign Language Learning and the Association for Language Learning.
My most popular subjects are as follows:

North American English Pronunciation Practice for ESL (NAEPP-ESL) or Accent-Reduction:
*****Each Online Lesson with Free Video & MP3 recordings, and about 50 GB onedrive folder for lesson files*****

Carefully following Burkkowsky's (1969) multi-media method, I have taught this subject for over five years for public and private causes, such as library, individuals, and language schools. German Language and Culture:
*****Each Online Lesson with Free Video & MP3 Recordings and about 50 GB onedrive folder for lesson files*****

Microsoft Excel:
***It is recommended students own or have regular access to a personal computer after 2002 in order to get the best benefit***

Among the accent reduction teachers that I had before, Erol is the only one who actually could find the problems in my accent! The program he uses is very useful. The way he explains things or exaggerates the mistakes will help me to correct my accent. Overall, an awesome experience and I would totally recommend him to anyone.

About Brianna
I graduated from the University of Idaho in May 2014. I earned my degree in Instrumental Music Education and have been teaching privately for since 2008. My main instrument is violin, and I am qualified to teach viola, and cello. Before moving to Arizona, I taught many violin students through my own private studio and through the University of Idaho Preparatory Division. My students ranged from ages 3 to 50. I have taught private instrumental lessons to grades 2-8 at a private school and I currently work as a full time 5th grade classroom teacher at a Great Hearts school. I continued their intermediate orchestra program and started the beginning orchestra program in the 2015-2016 school year. In the 2016-2017 school year, I piloted a successful beginning instruments club. The majority of my experience is with students age 3 through 9th gr
ade.

As for general education, I have completed my certification classes for grades 1-8 and will be submitting the paperwork in the summer of 2019. I have taught as a lead teacher for 5th grade for 3 years, and have experience working in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. Additionally, I have tutored students from first grade through middle school in math and reading/grammar/writing.

I primarily teach lessons in the Gilbert area where I teach full time. I also accept lessons in Tempe and Mesa. Students outside of this area are welcome to travel to my house in Tempe. My travel availability is limited, but my home studio availability is far more flexible.

Brianna has helped me progress with my violin rapidly, and she is very patient and kind. Her studio is great and there is a calm, quiet atmosphere there. I would recommend her to anyone that loves the violin and wishes to progress in their learning.

About Mikayla
Hello! My name is Mikayla Pacheco. I have been a private tutor for 2 years, teaching a variety of subjects. However, my strongest subjects are English Literature and Composition and United States History. I have graduated high school in the Top 10% with a GPA of 4.8. I also earned passing marks on the AP Tests for English Lit, World History, and Government and politics. Currently, I am attending San Jacinto College for my basics and plan on transferring to Southern Methodist University, where I will double major in English and Political Science. I am also a professional actress and singer.

As a tutor, it brings me great joy to help other students reach their full potential in their academics. I love teaching and I encourage students to ask questions when they need help. I am patient and understanding when it comes to learning and I am w
illing to work with your student(s) until they feel 100% confident in whatever they are studying, learning, or writing. I hope to create a fun, efficient, and comfortable learning experience and look forward to potentially teaching your student.

As far as what to expect in lessons, it will vary depending on the student. I like to first get to know the student and figure out what they need or want to learn. From there, I will teach them what they need to know and help them prepare for quizzes, tests, and essays. After their assignments have been graded, I would like for the student to share these grades with me so we can figure out where we need to improve and thus ensure the student is always learning what they need to learn to best excel in class.

I look forward to getting the chance to teach your student and help put them on a path of success. If you have a questions, please feel free to contact me. My preferred method is text or phone call, however I do check my email frequently.

Who hated writing papers? Raise your if you cringe at the thought of “word count”. Writing can be intimidating if you don’t know how to tap into your style.

I understand how writing can be considered as “boring” but that’s because you didn’t have me to teach you!

Writing is more than just words on a paper, it’s a way of life. It is the way that we have chosen to navigate in this day and age. Communication is the biggest part of our society! It’s how we build relationships.

How many times have you said “I’m not sure what I’m trying to say?” Aren’t you tried of being unsure? Book me and allow me to show you how to tap into yourself, so that you can receive everything that is purposed for you.

If it’s not WRITE, then it must be wrong! My purpose is to help you write and to become a better communicator through words and ideas.
