About Ha-eun
I have been surrounded by music my whole life and have played violin for 16 years. I went to high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy, obtained a BM in violin performance at Oberlin Conservatory, and am now a Master's student at the Boston Conservatory. I have won competitions, played in professional orchestra gigs, performed with college faculty, soloed with an orchestra, and won the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artists Award.

I have completed a pedagogy course in college and at the graduate level. I have taught children, teens, and adults alike. I had the fortune of studying with wonderful teachers and strive to be like them and pass on their wisdom.

I am passionate about teaching out of a desire to help people express themselves and appreciate music on a deeper level. I am very enthusiastic and adapt my approach to each student's le
vel, personality, and needs while seeking to build a good rapport. I make creative analogies to keep them engaged. I am positive while critiquing because I believe negativity is counterintuitive to effective learning. I have experience working with elementary school kids, having spent three years employed at a Boys and Girls Club.

Just as I believe in culturing love of music in children, I truly enjoy working with older and more experienced students. I am very eager to help them develop their musicality and good technique. I have an extensive repertoire list and thus am able to aid students in learning challenging music such as show pieces and concertos.

I predominantly teach classical music but have helped students in other music activities. With older and more advanced students I am willing to teach music of their own choosing. I have also helped a student prepare for college auditions.

I really look forward to meeting new students and to inspire them to be at their best!

Ha-eun is an extremely devoted instructor and she has been helping me for my audition in a youth orchestra. She is really patient but always eager to push us to our best. She pays attention to the details and give thousands of helpful tips without sounding like a rigid teacher but using a friendly and communicative approach. I feel so lucky to found her on TakeLessons. I never expected an instructor to be so devoted and helpful. Her high efforts to help me makes me feel so motivated to do my best and make her proud. I would continue my lessons with her even though the audition was done!

About Zachary
Music is one of the most important parts of my life. I started playing when I was 6, and I've been hooked ever since! I've performed with bands in many different genres. Over the past two years, I've shared the stage with The Wailers, Charles Bradley, The Bellamy Brothers, and countless others. I've also performed with musicians such as Chuchito Valdes and Jennifer Holiday. Currently, I'm a touring musician based here in Tampa. I perform with a 10-piece soul band, a Nashville-based country outfit, and my own jazz trio. I love teaching and sharing my stage experience!

Ms. Maria Lyapkova is not only an incredibly gifted pianist, but she is also a brilliant and inspiring instructor, proficient in teaching solo, chamber, and ensemble literature (for piano). Over the course of my two years in her piano ensemble class at the University of South Florida, I learned and progressed so much in terms of technique, musical sense and sensitivity, interpretation, practicing efficiently, and the art of performing, to name only a few.

During lessons and ensemble coaching sessions, Ms. Maria is extremely patient, kind, understanding. She is highly committed to teaching, able to work with students of any proficiency level, and always earnestly encouraging students to improve to the best they can. I will always remember the amazing lessons I had learning Arensky’s Suite No. 2, Op. 23 (“Silhouettes”) under her instruction!

About Adam
Current Gig: Performing on The National Tour of 'The Sound of Music'
I am a New York City based young professional recording artist, performer, songwriter, and vocal coach . I have a BFA performance degree in Music Theater, and have performed through Europe as well as the United States.
I have worked with Artists such as Christian Knoll (Broadway), Carlos Alomar (Grammy Award Winning), Chris Young (Real Housewives-Bravo), Constantine Pappas (Phantom of The Opera), Peter Bliss (NYC Songwriters Collective), and many others.
Some of my work has also been featured on the Billboard Charts. As a craftsman I am always working on my craft, and looking to collaborate and help others work on their craft.
As a teacher I have a strong foundation in teaching kids ages 5-18, and have worked with many young adults ranging in their mid twenties.

I have taught music classes ranging from music theory, basic songwriting, to vocal techniques-
As a vocalist it is important to understand your voice, how it functions, how you function with it, how to find and develop your own unique sound,.
In the lessons given we will vocalize, assess, and I will provide you with tools to work on your craft daily.
I can help any student sing with confidence, expression, and a fluid understanding of how they approach a song.
Together we will strengthen YOUR unique voice, and YOUR sound.
I will also coach you on songs to look at for your voice range/type.
My music lessons are fun, stress free, and at the same-time taken very seriously.
I have a passion for sharing tools in my tool box to help others find their honest and true voice.

My degree is in Music Theater, and I have a strong passion for it. However, I also have a deep passion for contemporary Pop music, and would love to coach students interested in both realms. I do have an understanding of many genres, and can help any student find their true voice, and through that be the best singer they can be.

I highly recommend Adam as a voice teacher.
My 10 year old daughter Spencer has been wanting to take a lesson for so long she's always singing Disney songs around the house, and finally I thought, why not give it a go.
When I first met Adam his smile was infectious, and I could already tell he knew what he was doing, and this was the right choice.
He sat down at the piano we have at home, and began doing scale work, within minutes time, I could already see that Emily was already enjoying the lesson.
They worked learning "For the First Time In Forever" together, and Emily now sings both parts, and very well/on pitch might I add.
Spencer takes lessons from Adam bi weekly, and is always anxious for him to come and share his knowledge with her.
I couldn't recommend him enough!

I had never had a voice lesson before in my life, and wanted to try this out as I have always been interested in singing.
I had one lesson with Adam, and now take lessons with him multiple times a month. He has not only helped me gain confidence in my vocal ability, but continues to provide fantastic training, and I feel my voice getting stronger with each lesson. I had no idea that I had an upper register, nor did I understand what that meant prior to working with Adam.
I can proudly say I am finding my voice more and more everyday.
He has shown me that anyone can truly be a singer.
Thank you Adam for your patience and time with me!

It is with great pleasure that I share the harp with you. I hope that you get as much pleasure in learning as I do in teaching you to play the harp. I recognize that everyone learns at his or her own individual speed. I am self taught and like to teach, what I wish I had learned in the beginning. It was my love of the harp that kept me striving to learn more. I hope your love is deep and keeps you inspired.
Firstly, I think this is a good time to remember that it is the journey that counts.
Through your private lessons and personal practice, you can expect to develop:
1. Technique
2. Hand positions
3. Finger patterns
4. Finger Exercises
5. Music Theory
6. Reading Music
7. Songs
8. Hearing the music
9. Improvisation
10. Story telling with the harp
11. Harp History
12. Music Composition
13. Music for Healing

I try to create an env
ironment that is supportive of learning, and understanding. I feel that the love of the music and playing it is of utmost importance, and that the love combined with the discipline of study and practice are what make beautiful music. I ask you to be patient with your learning process, and enjoy your journey, after all, how wonderful that you get to play harp!
looking forward to helping you on you harp journey.

De Luna has been teaching him harp lessons for the past year, and I can honestly say she is the BEST, most caring, thoughtful, patient and filled with knowledge teacher that we have ever had! He has not only learned to play the harp, but most importantly she has taught him to have fun and a love for learning to play the harp. He has gained self encouragement, and self belief in himself. De Luna is truly an amazing and talented individual.

Music has always been my passion. I started on the piano when I was 5 and I picked up the trumpet in elementary school. When I got my guitar at age 12 there was no looking back. In fact, that guitar is the same guitar that I play today and it has toured the country with me for the last four years.

My lessons are always fun and exciting and I encourage creativity in addition to technique and theory. Plus, I have a great sense of humor, so we'll be laughing a lot!

I am a professional choral conductor, singer, pianist, and song arranger. I graduated from Knox College with a Bachelors in Music and Education. I have been working with students and teaching music since 2010 with a focus in vocal technique.

I offer private instruction in conducting, singing, piano/keyboard, music theory, guitar, and ukulele. Lessons are tailored to each student, so any genre can be learned! I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student.

My personal passion is choral music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
