Welcome to classical piano! Do you dream of playing Beethoven's 5th Concerto, "The Emperor" in E flat major? Chopin's Nocturnes? Rachmaninoff's Preludes? Hi, my name is Patrice. I've been playing and teaching piano for 20 years. We start with the basics for beginners, and work our way to the Masterpieces. We have fun along the way, interspersing classics with Top 40 tunes!

I love tailoring lessons to my students! Music is personal and I want to make sure you're learning what you're interested in or need to learn in order to prepare you for auditions or keep up in groups you play in. I always ask students for a list of music they're listening to or want to learn - nothing's off limits!

About Stephanie

I started Suzuki violin lessons at the age of 3 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Music degree from UW-Milwaukee. In following years, I did post graduate work at Alverno College and went on to complete Suzuki teacher training in Suzuki Books 1-4. Besides teaching private violin, viola, and pian

Stephanie is patient, quick to respond and very flexible. I'm a adult beginner and she has been my teacher for a year now. She makes me feel comfortable when learning. I have a very busy schedule and she is always willing to work with me including coming to my home late at night. She is easy going and it's been a great year and I have learned alot! I definitely recommend and am continuing lessons with her!

Stephanie is wonderful. First of all, she is a truly virtuosic player. She plays beautifully. That is hugely important. Never hire a violin teacher who does not make a gorgous sound. She makes a gorgeous sound. Second, she is an amazing TEACHER. She knows how to tailor her approach to the student’s unique learning style and musical tastes. She can take you through a purely classical curriculum, or she can also help you learn to play your favorite pop songs. I have been taking lessons with her for two years and my adult (step)daughter who has Down Syndrome has been studying with her for a little over a year. I have progressed consistently and my stepdaughter has also progressed consistently. Stephanie definitly knows how to collaborate with me to adapt her lessons to my (step)daughter’s special needs. My (step)daughter loves her lessons and Stephanie mixes things up to keep her excited and motivated to practice. Stephanie prepares more in advance for lessons than any instrument teacher I have ever observed. She creates her own teaching aids for each student, personalized to their needs. She has formal Suzuki training both as a learner and teacher, so she knows the Suzuki curriculum, and can use a strictly Suzuki approach for people who want that, but she also knows the scope and sequences of skills so thoroughly that she can guide students without relying on Suzuki if that approach is preferred. She takes a positive approach, helping students to learn to listen to and evaluate their own playing rather than over critiquing. She teaches students to practice effectively, and uses questions to gently guide students to draw appropriate conclusions about what they need to do to improve their playing. She paces lessons well. She does not require perfection before moving on, but also discourages racing through repertoire without developing the target skill represented by the repertoire. She does not waste lesson time. She uses lesson time very efficiently. Her demeanor is warm, calm, mindful, gentle and kind, but firm about holding students to appropriately high expectations. I started wth her as an adult beginner and have loved every minute. I am now an intermediate player... sooner than I expected. She is also very reliable. She does not forget appointments or run late or cancel frequently. The room she teaches in is clean and organized. I really think she is very appropriate for gifted kids, average kids, kids with special needs, and adult beginners both typical and with special needs.

My goal in teaching is to make my students not just good saxophonists, but better musicians in every aspect. I like to discuss the music with students, get them to think about the music in new and interesting ways, teach how to practice and philosophies for approaching musical styles, and the theory behind the music. Students can expect all of this and more while having fun and being able to express themselves through the music they want to play.

Students are expected to have their own saxophone for all lessons.

About Eddie

Hello there, I'm Eddie! Music, since the first time I picked up the saxophone, has been the passion of my life. I almost always have an instrument in my hands or have music coming out of my speakers. I earned my degree in performance from the University of Miami in 2012. As part of my undergraduate

My lessons are fun and rewarding! I structure them to be efficient and effective and I use a lot of different resources and methods to teach and reinforce every concept. I like to focus on a good knowledge of music theory as well as reading notes and technical skills. Aside from that I like to teach scales, chords and how to apply them to various genres. I also stress the importance of being able to write and communicate music.

About Dayton

My teaching philosophy is to empower people to learn and explore piano, and music in general, on their own. I may teach myself out of a job doing this, but I believe in giving people the tools to teach themselves. I do this by not only making piano something fun for you, but also by demystifying so

I took lessons from Dayton for a little over a year and he was a phenomenal teacher. He's a really chill guy and always kept the lessons fun. Not only did he help me learn songs and go through music books, but he taught me all about chord structures and other music theory so that I would have a good knowledge of music. I always had a say in what I learned each lesson, along with what type of music I wanted to play. I was always so amazed when he would show me the incredible songs he knew how to play, and his knowledge of music is greater than most anyone you will ever meet. I highly recommend Dayton to anyone who is thinking of taking piano lesson- not only will you grow as a musician, but you'll have fun doing it!

Hello, my name is Lesia and I would be happy to be your teacher.
I moved to the US from the Ukraine 5 years ago, where I graduated from the Kharkov State University of Arts with Bachelor degree in music arts and was qualified as orchestra and ensemble player and teacher of flute and ensemble. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience. I taught flute and ensemble playing, provided music activity for children from 4 years old and up. My students participated in concerts and competitions. I also had an experience working in, the Orchestra of the Dnipropetrovsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Ukraine, where I had a role of the second flute and piccolo. While I was working in the theater, I played in such performances as "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty", "The Nutcracker" by P. Tchaikovsky, "The Wedding of Figaro" by V.А. Mozart .
My specialty is a classic, but I am familiar with different styles of music and even played in a reggae band when I was at university and as a ...

My 7 year-old son began learning recorder with Leasia as a complete beginner. He is taking lessons with Lesia as a music teacher for the past 9 months. She is patient and very friendly. Lesia taught him many things so far, such as how to read notes, all the fundamental techniques of recorder playing including correct posture, hand position, fingering and breathing. Also, my son learned how to play simple classic melodies like "Mary had a little lamb”, “Old Old McDonald had a farm”, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” and etc. We are gradually transitioning from recorder to flute now. My son looks forward to Lesia’s lessons, and is enjoying music. I recommend Lesia to everyone and anyone interested in learning to play recorder and flute.

Lesia is a great flute teacher! Since my daughter started taking lessons from Lesia twise a week she started making a lot more progress; part of success is Lesia’s advanced teaching skills and another part is motivation to learn and practice a lot more that my daughter got when learning from Lesia how to become a great flute player
