Music Theory is the backbone of music, the building blocks that help us to understand how musical notes and rhythms work together. Lessons in Music Theory can help you to better understand every musical instrument, and will provide an internal sense of order and structure for the sounds that we hear. Learn to make sense of every line, dot, dash, and squiggle on a piece of sheet music, as well as the elements of harmony, melody, rhythm, dynamics, articulation, and phrasing.

Great experience!

Voice lessons are tough. This isn't like a golf swing where someone can show you physically what to do or reach out and position your elbows where they need to be.

This all has to be articulated by a teacher, and is has to be articulated to someone (YOU) who doesn't even know what parts you're trying to move around.

It takes a great teacher. Eulis is a GREAT teacher. He gave me physical descriptions, character descriptions, accent descriptions, … everything I needed to position everything where it needed to be, even when I didn't always know where it was.

A lot of progress and a lot of fun. Thank you, Eulis.

Eulis was great and provided plenty of insight. Nice guy and he showed me interesting techniques

Eulis has been phenomenal to work with. He's patient, and has worked really hard to understand distinct qualities of my voice and how to improve them.

First lesson: Was/am having difficulty with a particular rasqueado technique. Diego “dissected” my motion indicating proper methods for better finger placement and hand positioning.
Accompanying this was a video of our lesson for my reference and an informative blog note pertaining to the art of practice.
Throughout all Diego had a courteous manner, was receptive of my questions and gave me notes by email about what we had discussed along with practice suggestions. Look forward to continuing with him.

When I started with Linda I hadn't had a piano lesson in almost forty years. In a short time she had me playing with more confidence and at a far higher level than I had ever achieved before. Linda is a phenomenal performer and a gifted teacher. Anyone at any level would be lucky to work with her.
Craig
I consider myself very fortunate to have found Linda when I took up piano after a 50 year hiatus. She brought enthusiasm, patience and profound musical knowledge to each lesson. I would be with her still if Julliard hadn’t called her to Manhattan. Six stars!

"Keith is a an awesome teacher! I learned so much from him in the span of a few weeks. Every lesson is packed full of information and he makes sure you totally get and understand the lesson before moving onto the next chapter. I really appreciate that he corrects me whenever I make mistakes especially when it comes to staying on beat while playing the piano with the metronome. Lessons are also never boring with him. I feel that he truly cares for the musical growth of his students. Although, I'm taking a break from Take Lessons when I enroll again I will choose Keith for Piano/Music Theory."

I began lessons with him because i was not satisfied with the music theory classes at the school i am enrolled in, as well as the classes did not accommodate well to my learning differences. David not only has endless knowledge of music theory but also has shown me tools and helpful methods for studying music. I highly recommend taking lessons from David if you are either a beginner or you are at a higher level and would like to expand your knowledge of music theory."
