Learn Music Theory and How to Read Music today!
I can teach you:
-how to read notes
-how to read rhythms
-how to identify and construct scales
-how to recognize key signatures
-how chords are created and the different types and qualities of chords
-common chord progressions
I extensively studied music theory at the bachelors degree level, which was ENORMOUSLY helpful in my understanding of how music works in general, and with how to read music in particular. I’ve learned how to sight-read music, as well as how to sight-sing (sing simple melodies from musical notation). I use my understanding of music theory as a support when I write my own music, as well as when learning to play new songs.

Sing Jazz like you have never done before by learning and applying techniques that you will learn during your lessons. Techniques like breathing, scatting, articulating, projecting and expanding your range just to name a few. Have fun learning how to "jazz it up" while taking lessons with Lorna.
Lorna is a music teacher who has been teaching voice and piano for years. She is a graduate of Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education. She is lots of fun. Lorna is also a professional singer who sings several genres, which includes opera, jazz, R&B,
She is literally helping me to find my voice.
I have been taking singing lessons with Professor Lorna for about 3 months now.
During this time period, she has not only helped me develop my voice but my singing confidence as well. Professor Lorna pushes me out of my comfort zone every class! She sees the potential in me and has helped me bring out that voice that I have been hiding. I need more practice but she define you knows what she’s doing! Even my family has noticed my singing growth with the technique Professor Lorna has taught me.
I am very happy that I found Professor Lorna. She is a woman filled with knowledge in all things of music and very talented! With much patience, practice, and continuing to take her lessons I know that she will continue to assist me in evolving my talent and helping me become that great singer I aspire to be.
I hope that I can grow under her wings and eventually master all that she’s taught me. Professor Lorna is what I’d call “The Master.”

I help them with this process, from auditions, to preforming to the best of their abilities in whatever they choose to be a part of. It is a joy to go their performances and see the progress they make!

You want to play music that means something to you. The music that moves you. I’m pretty sure it’s not Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
I promise you, no stifling method books with hokey songs and no rote practice of scales with no end in site.
We'll pick a song you want to learn.
I’ll identify the techniques you need to play it and provide you with skill building exercises. We’ll look at the structure of the song and anything else to help you learn it. If the song requires advanced techniques, I’ll break it down into what you can do now; we’ll use the remainder to guide your development.
Although you’ll follow a logical progression of skill building, I believe learning in the context of songs the student knows and enjoys is the best approach for teens and adults.
I teach adult beginner rock guitar players. You are not too old to start playing guitar! I believe learning in the context of songs the student knows and enjoys is the best approach for adults. So I start out by finding out what you listen to, who inspires you musically, and what songs you would

He really helps to improve singing range, especially in head voice and the higher pitches. I definitely feel more confident in my singing. Jameson really makes a singer make a song his or her own by the way that he incorporates feelings and actions. The Alexander Technique really helps in singing and in every day activities."
