I’ve been playing guitar for 18 years. Ive been doing it for a living for 16 years. Acoustic, electric, rock, jazz, country, funk, lead, rhythm, flatpick, fingerpick...pick a style I’ve played it. My lesson plan will expand your knowledge of chords and scales, and how to use them. I’ll give you exercises to increase speed, dexterierity. It is incredibly important for students to have a general understanding of music theory, regardless of their instrument. Music theory is the core of the music that we play and listen to, and it is a vital part of every student's music education. The purpose of music theory is to show students how music works, and for that reason, every music student should be exposed to it at some level.
Having started piano at the age of 7, I was taught music theory at a very beginning of my music education. I studied it throughout my childhood and into my collegiate years. I can teach this subject in detail and help the student develop a clear understanding of the music that they read and play.

Prepare to be empowered, encouraged, and pushed into your passion. Whether you are a beginner and need to learn to hear the key and tune your voice, or desire to create ad libs and find the perfect melodies and harmonies. You will strengthen your skills and push the limits to what's already phenomenal. I will be your coach and together we will discover your sound! I recommend children's classes be no shorter than 1 hour because of the unique nature in which children learn structure and develop confidence. My experience shows me that these classes require more patience and relationship. the voice is the most vulnerable instrument one can learn. Although children are the most challenging, they are also the most rewarding! I can't wait to sing with yours!

Brittany has been wonderful in the short amount of time that I've been working with her. I was nervous that she wouldn't like working with an older student who finally has time to do fun things. But you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! She is patient in her mannerisms, constructive with her comments, and has a good sense of humor when I make some mistakes like when I played something beautifully - just in the wrong key. I will continue my lessons, but increase the amount of time per lesson to take better advantage of her talents."
Betsy is by far one of the most talented people I have hired to work with my children on their violin. Not only does she work well with children but she also is such a joy to be around. If you want to learn how to play a violin this is your go to person! There is no one better than Betsy! We love her!"
