Whether your goals are for personal enrichment or professional growth, your lesson will be personalized according to what's important to you. I LOVE to teach, and appreciate my wee ones just as much as my elders...those who consider themselves "tone deaf" as much as my advanced students. As far as Special Needs go - I feel we *ALL* have special needs....every child and every adult! ;)
As the creator and producer of San Diego IndieFest and Say It Records, I have a unique understanding of the industry, and love to share that with my students.
Hello Students / Parents!
I specialize in providing a safe, fun and empowering space for each student to reach their goals - whether that be for the novice whose been wrongfully told they shouldn't pursue their passion, the more experienced musician/actor/poet/speaker looking to do more, or the budding artist looking to develop the talent and vision within them. I'm fluent in English and Spanish and have experience singing and recording in many languages.
I always remember the inspiration and patience I received from my best teachers, so I strive to provide exactly that to my own students. I sing and teach most vocal styles, with the exception of opera and screamo, and utilize my studio to create a supportive, non-judgemental experience singing, acting, speaking, writing and recording. I absolutely love teaching both children and ad
ults and look forward to learning how to best support each one of my students in their individual path toward realizing their potential.
Here's a bit about my background and musical experience:
Bachelors of Fine Arts degree (Theatre/Voice) from United States International University Graduated Valedictorian Chula Vista School of Creative and Performing Arts Graduated Valedictorian Workshops and studies with Directors, Voice and Acting Teachers Bill Doyle, Roy Mote, Andrew Barnicle, Jack Tygett, Leanne Summers, Anne Farnsworth, among others.
"After seeing Danielle, I was impressed with her intensity as a performer. Her ability to get behind a lyric was stunning, she lives every line. As an artistic performer, I've yet to see better." -Tony Ferguson / Interscope Records: No Doubt, Bush, Fisher
My original band, Danielle and The Masses, has been recording and performing since 2001. We are endorsed by Justin Tranter, Ani Difranco, The Black Eyed Peas, The Bruce Hornsby Band, among others, and have shared the stage with Jamie Foxx, CAKE, Metric, En Vogue, David Byrne, Berlin, Margaret Cho, Cyndi Lauper, Jonatha Brooke, Beth Hart, Semi Precious Weapons and more.
I have written and performed music and voice over for Ace Ventura, Nutty Professor, VH1, various TV shows and independent documentaries, Eveoke Dance Theatre, among others, and have recorded eight professional CDs of various styles on various record labels.
For over fifteen years, my record / production company, Say It Records has been producing socially conscious music events throughout San Diego and Southern California that promote independent music, film, art, community, human and environmental rights. I also co-own Durga Sound, a teaching and production studio, with producer Alicia Champion. The two of us created and produced San Diego IndieFest for over ten years, a powerful community event promoting and supporting independent music, film, art and civic engagement.
I have a great time utilizing my contacts in the industry to help my students get work/ press / entrance into the schools, agencies and studios of their choice. For example, we were able to book many musicians on the TV show GLEE, among others, as well as help students get their music placed in commercials, film and the like.
*** Lesson Details *** I start on the first lesson by becoming clear about what the new student's goals and desires are from there, we start developing technique to achieve those goals along with having fun right away doing what they came for - singing, writing, voice over, acting or using a combination of these things be it for professional purposes or personal fulfillment. Every lesson is personally customized to meet the specific goals of each student. As a teacher, I'm encouraging and fun, passionate and positive. While I'm definitely not "strict", I do appreciate focus and drive. However, I often work with people who have special needs and are working on developing those very things. I'm especially good at helping people through progress plateaus, roadblocks, stage fright, loss/ stress. Using music as a means of release and healing - for both kids and adults - is something I do a lot of and am very comfortable with.
As far as technique is concerned, I focus on utilizing posture, correct breathing and developing relaxed, strong support, so that the muscles are developed properly. We want the voice to develop without stress, enabling the student to constantly grow while steering clear of any injury that can happen as a result of straining, not to mention other habits that manifest when we sing without proper technique.
I strongly encourage students to record their lessons on a mobile device so they can practice easily on their own, and so they eventually have a record of how far they've grown. We mostly use tracks to develop repertoire, prepare for auditioning and performances, and to have fun singing the music that excites each student the most.

*** Specialties *** Using music, writing and voice as a means of expressing yourself, growing as a performance artist, coping in challenging times, as well as a means of going professional and earning income are all areas I specialize in. Utilizing proper technique and learning how to sing / speak safely is also an area I focus on a great deal.
Learning precisely what each student wants is the key factor in my decision on how to achieve their goals. For example, using Speech Level Singing is definitely entrenched in my teaching, but I may not highlight it as much for those who want a more classical sound.
I excel with the following: first timers, very young kids, students working through stage fright, artists looking to develop their own original project, those seeking growth in their process of writing / recording / performing, those who are interested in using music and / or writing as therapy as well as with amateurs who've always wanted to do something musical but who think they are "too old" or too "untalented/short/tall/ fill in the blank" to try. I believe we all have something to say with our lives - finding the voice within you can be an incredibly powerful and transformative experience!
Ms. Danielle is a wonderful / excellent instructor. I booked 10 sessions with Ms. Danielle for vocal training and it was worth every dollar. I am singing this week at a big event, and because of Ms. Danielle vocal training, I am prepared to sing three back to back songs with the strongest voice ever!!!! Ms. Danielle doesn't know it yet, but I do plan to make her my life vocal coach.

The rating says it all. Best. Instructor. Ever. Danielle is amazing. She's so patient and kind and loving. Half the reason I take lessons from her is because she makes me feel so good about myself. She's so much more than a singing teacher. She's a creative guide. She will help you move beyond self doubt and explore your creativity. And of course, my rhythm and pitch are improving rapidly. Can't recommend her enough!

I enjoy my first lesson with Ms. Danielle. She is a great singing coach. I am looking forward to learning great singing skills from this instructor.
Vocal technique and song preparation will be our focus. We'll also cover how to play the guitar while singing.

I teach not only children but also adults of any level - beginner, intermediate, or advanced. Students can learn acoustic or electric guitar, and fingerstyle or pick playing. Styles taught include classical, rock and pop, blues, jazz, folk and country. Sight-reading, music theory, and learning by ear are skills all students will develop.

If you are ready to take your music skills SERIOUSLY then stop wasting time and money on teachers who don't fully understand the instrument themselves. My name is Russell Steedle and I have been playing guitar professionally for 20 years and teaching music and producing records for over 10. I have worked with artists such as Mac Miller, Sean Kingston, Lifehouse, Disney's Caityln Taylor Love and have composed music to 100s of your favorite TV shows! Want to learn to shred? produce? write? dive into theory?
Russell Steedle is an American Platinum-Selling record producer / songwriter / and guitarist based in Los Angeles, CA. With his first #1 Billboard record under his belt and previous clients such as Mac Miller, Sean Kingston, and Red Velvet, Russ has found endorsements and support from major music companies such as Fender and Dean Markley strings, Russell has toured the US opening for National Artists playing for audiences as large as 30,000.
In 2012, Russ signed with Mach 1 Music and learned the ropes of the music industry as a part of a team selling over 19 million records worldwide. Soon after, Russ joined TV/Filmsound powerhouse “Signature Tracks” (signature - tracks.com) through which he has produced over 650 songs for networks such as Disney, MTV, VH1, BET, ABC, NBC, CBS, and many many more
Currently Russ performs with and p
roduces talent from all over the world including Grammy Award winning artists and songwriters The Jackie Boyz, Chart Topping Artist Sean Kingston, Disney's Caitlyn Taylor Love and many more!
Russ is a truly exceptional individual and very knowledgeable in all aspects of music theory, production and the industry. Not only is he an great at what he does, but he can also relate and impart that knowledge onto others - a skill that is surprisingly rare among high-caliber performers. The price per lesson seems higher than average at first glance, but I feel that the speed and amount of knowledge you acquire per dollar is actually lower than that of other instructors. Really.
He is also active in the industry, so the skills he teaches are current.
I take lessons with Russ online through Skype for EDM production in FL Studio. He is always punctual and promptly communicates if anything comes up. His teaching style carefully balances the need to provide guidance, while allowing freedom for individual artistic development. Every week, I start a composition or track analysis project that applies what I've learned in previous lessons, and I will submit it to Russ to discuss things that went well and things to work on in the future. In this way, you are not just being lectured, but you are actually learning to collaborate with an exceptional musician. I've personally experienced how constant application and feedback facilitates rapid learning.
He certainly is a serious musician, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a fun personality. He is engaging and inspirational.
I would, without reservation nor hesitation, highly recommend Russ to anyone who is interested in professional music production.

Encouraged and inspired my daughter's love for music. Taught guitar lessons in a fun engaging way that also challenged her creativity. Great teacher!

In as short as one semester, Dr. Griffeath has helped my voice tremendously. He genuinely cares about his students and works hard to understand how each one learns.
June 21, 2018
Dr. R is a very talented vocalist who has a strong background in Alexander Technique. Combining the two makes a very sympathetic and understanding mentor. He can hear all of your tensions, including the ones you aren’t aware of. His style of teaching is a very natural approach and he will not ask you to do anything that hurts or pushes you too far. What stands out the most is his determination. He is determined to help you grow. I am very lucky to have him as an on staff professor.

Dr. Griffeath is very approachable and highly knowledgeable. He has a great, in-depth understanding of voice and helps one to understand the processes behind every action taken in vocal lessons. He cares greatly about students’ progress, well-being, and enjoyment of the instrument. Highly recommended.
Lessons will cover proper breathing and vocal placement (navigating vocal breaks), how to modify the voice depending on the style you want to sing, and how to find your own unique voice. I aim my lessons towards younger singers because I provide a more contemporary take on singing. I teach in a way that is beneficial to the new generation of singers that want to be unique, and break free from past ways of doing things.
Music, in every sense of the form, is a bridge to our emotions. Performing it sends chills down our spines, while listening to it causes us to feel whatever we need to feel in that moment. Music has always been a part of my life, I have 10 years of experience on violin, 8 on guitar and piano, and I've been singing ever since I can remember. I've been teaching singing to fellow students and people from my town for 3 years now, and I truly love sharing my passion for music. I hope to share it with you as well!
I have over ten years of experience writing, singing and playing guitar on hundreds of demos and professional recordings. I have written and worked with multiple major label artists and Grammy nominated songwriters over the past ten years. I have a top ten Billboard Canadian Country song with the band Washboard Union and have had a song, recorded by chart topping country artist Brett Young. My songs have been syndicated on national television on channels such as MTV and on national commercials such as "Red Lobster". In addition to my writing credits, I have also sung background vocals for many artists on major labels such as Universal and Warner Brothers including Jon Pardi, and Aubrie Sellers. I also have extensive experience playing acoustic and electric guitar for artists both in live shows and in the studio. Utilizing these experiences, I can provide commercial guitar and vocal lessons.

Grant is incredibly talented and I highly recommend him as a teacher! He has a great voice and is an awesome guitarist too. Grant has a ton of experience in the music business, so he is a fantastic resource; he is able to help with singing, guitar, and songwriting!
I believe in cultural exploration and inspiration where world folk highlights beauty of a raw, yet trained voice. I have studied, sang, and taught in 4 different countries from Kenya to Guatemala and back. While I emphasize utilizing the same standard vocal technique use to train opera and broadway vocalists, my expertise is in the pop, jazz, and blues exploration of sound and inflection. Whether your natural voice is light and airy or warm and full I can help you explore sounds outside of your comfort zone and even potentially teach you to bend your mistakes into musical magic.
My student said it best, "I've had the privilege of having Lisa as my voice instructor. In a matter of a few lessons, she began to help me smooth out my vocal breaks and extend my range. Lisa provides great exercises and technique that strengthen and improve your singing. She is someone you can trust and feel comfortable with during your journey. She is passionate about music and knowledgeable in a variety of different styles. There's nothing quite like learning to set your voice free, and Lisa makes that possible!
It was wonderful for lisa to have the patience to help me believe that I could improve my vocals.. we did some ear training to help me get more in tune with the music!
Lisa has lots of enthusiasm and is excited with singing and helping others improving their singing abilities.
We did some group classes too, which were fun and those really engaging and motivating for the whole group.
August 8, 2019
Lisa worked with my 10- and 6-year-old boys. They absolutely loved the lessons. We could hear them playing and laughing the whole time. She's really talented at teaching children.
I also took a lesson with her myself and it was everything I hoped for and more. I like technical details when learning and Lisa adapted the lesson to that preference very nicely.
Bottom line: Lisa is an amazing instructor and you or your children will learn a lot from her.
August 7, 2019
Several lessons with Lisa helped me to feel comfortable singing in my upper register. I was a very low alto, now, in my good days, I can belt Adele's notes (I didn't say I sound like Adele, though)
"Knowledgable, Motivational, helps you to get out of your comfort zone and wants you to learn? She is a definition of what a teacher is. Also she records o
ur lessons which is an amazing tool. I can see what I'm doing wrong which helps me to practice."
"A true professional singer. Great teacher.
I leaned so much in a limited time period."
"Absolutely love this teacher -- you couldn't find a better one! Easy to work with and taught me a lot. I highly recommend her to both beginning and adva
> very professional > kind > knowing exactly what she is doing > such a positiv and powerful person with so much inspiring energy > uncomplica

During the lessons I learn so much from Radina and by the way: she is such a humorous person and perfect in motivating me.
Also my little sister takes lessons since years. It's so much fun for her too.
I very much recommend Radina!!! You will get adiccted!!!"
"Nicole is great! I would recommend her to anyone wanting a wholistic growth through vocal lessons
Nicole is very encouraging, patient and clear with expl
anations and support. She helps to facilitate a body and awareness connection with your whole being (body, mind, emotions). She explains processes thoroughly and in an easy to understand way. I have been very pleased so far with my lessons and am excited to continue with her."
"First time to take singing lesson, but we thought Monica was very nice instructor."
"Great teacher, very informative and patient. Great lessons on enforcing my fundamentals and improving my skills as a singer. Would reccomend!"
"Love Sharon! My 13-year-old daughter takes voice lessons with her and Sharon is funny, positive, and very energetic. My daughter has said she would not
go to anyone else. Sharon is great with young students and getting the most out of them, especially if they’re a bit shy. We look forward to seeing her every week and I highly recommend her as an instructor."
"My 12 y/o daughter loves working with Lawrence! He makes her laugh while making sure she is doing the drills and techniques correctly. We don't have a p
iano at our home, but he brings a keyboard or a guitar every time (mostly guitar). Lawrence likes to involve the parents (me) so my daughter can feel more comfortable, but now my daughter tells me to go away! My daughter used to feel very insecure for some of the vocal warm-ups they previously started with, but now she does them even in public! My daughter has big dreams to be on TV and I feel very confident that Lawrence will help her get there."
What should you do if want to learn how to be a great singer? Listen to performers who will inspire you, motivate you, and show you the way! Here, Saint Augustine, FL teacher Heather L. shares her list of the six great singers who do just that:
J. J. Penna, the great vocal coach and accompanist to opera stars like Kathleen Battle, once told me in a voice coaching session that listening to great singers was just as important as practicing. In turn, I've done my best to incorporate c …
