No matter what software or hardware you have, my lesson plan will have you laying down tracks after the first lesson. I have been playing violin since I was 4 years old and am currently pursuing a violin performance degree at Roosevelt University, studying with the world renowned teacher, Almita Vamos (her students include well known professional violinists such as Rachel Barton Pine, Jennifer Koh, and Benjamin Beilman.) I have lots of experience in many areas of violin performance including orchestra, chamber music, and solo performances. I have received numerous awards in various competitions, both nationally and internationally. These are listed below. I began teaching at a music school near my home in Chicago last summer and quickly fell in love with it. I love seeing students improve and can guarantee that I'll do everything I can to help you achieve your goals in violin.

I'm actually a violin teacher, and I also have other link for my violin studio teaching. I also have student who took lesson mainly to get theory boosted up, while also taking lesson. I'd love to have my student not only good on playing, but they also really understand musicality, and speaking about musicality, we all need to understand the structure of music. that being said, we need theory. I teach theory as an integration with my studio lesson. But i'm also down to teach pure music theory alone. I'm flexible with these. Just send me message - then we'll set up things onwards :) Cheers!

Aaron has really inspired my son to pick up the Sax again after a six month hiatus. Aaron pushes him musically and challenges him daily on scale work, music theory and song performance. I could not be happier.

I have been taking soprano saxophone lessons with Aaron for about 8.5 months now. Aaron is enthusiastic, energetic and knowledgeable. His serious training shines through and he encourages your development along the lines that the student desires. Your musical goals become his for you. I am fortunate to have him as my teacher.

"Heather has been fantastic for my 10 yr old! It is clear Heather's knowledge is extensive but she makes the lessons fun and is so engaging with my daughter. My kid doesn't realize how much she is learning and just loves going to her lessons every week! As a bonus, her singing actually improved as well! I was impressed! Heather is superb and all you could hope for in a teacher."

"I started studying piano with Tim once a week in February 2015. I had not studied piano for 50 years and now I am a senior. I am thrilled that I returned to the piano after so many years. I have achieved a lot with him over the last 3 1/2 years. This is due to Tim’s excellent pedagogical techniques in piano study and his great patience. His explanations are extremely clear. Tim makes simplified versions of great pieces for me to work on, thus giving me even more motivation.

I was a professor for 43 years and I am very familiar with the skills that a teacher should have in any discipline. Tim has the really good skills that a piano teacher needs. I recommend him very highly."

"Heidi is an amazing and effective flute teacher!

As an adult flute player, I am thrilled to have discovered Heidi. From the first lesson, I realized she is an excellent flute teacher who goes above and beyond during each lesson, making every second count. Heidi is patient, flexible, organized, professional, and fun to work with. I believe Heidi is a RARE find as she is an exceedingly effective teacher. She listens attentively and finds just the right solutions to each flute playing issue. As a result she has helped me develop a new posture, better tone, and improved technical skills. We have been utilizing Skype for my lessons and this arrangement has worked out particularly well. Additionally, Heidi goes the extra mile and then one step more! For example, after a lesson she makes an audio recording of her playing the current technical exercise and music piece, including both parts to flute duets and then emails them to me. This is especially helpful as it is like having Heidi with me during my daily practice sessions. It is evident that Heidi is passionate about teaching flute. Additionally, she is a pleasure to work with! With the highest endorsement, I recommend Heidi for teaching flute."

"She's the best, she's the very best out there. THIS HUMAN BEING, is like no other. She'll make it worth your time and money. I have learned a lot and my voice has become stronger & powerful. She does genuinely want you to get better and she'll help you, she's very patient, understanding, nurturing, she's a GODSEND. If you don't take her, I understand if it's cause of financial issues, but she's very much worth it. I will follow her as far as possible, she's really been a great help. I do not know how will I ever repay her back."

The Top 20 Best Jazz Pianists of All Time [Infographic]

Narrowing down a list to just 20 of the best jazz pianists isn’t easy, as there are plenty to choose from. Creative geniuses such as Art Tatum, Count Basie, and Thelonious Monk are just a few of the names that come to mind, among many other greats in jazz’s rich history. Although most people think of trumpeters or saxophonists when they hear the word “jazz,” the piano has played a crucial role in the development of jazz theory and performance. Acting as both a solo and ensembl …
