I have been playing cello since I turned ten, and I love music! It has been an escape for me, as well as a salvation. My goal is to bring others into such an experience. I have my Bachelor's degree in Music with an emphasis on education and studied for 5 years under Dr. Elizabeth Morrow. My goal in teaching is to help my students grow in their musical potential and skill by supplying musical techniques and skill that will enable each one to go on and master their instrument.

Theresa is a wonderful teacher! I have had many private lessons teachers, and she is by far the best. She is incredibly patient with me (especially when I get frustrated and struggle with a particular technique) and always challenges me each and every lesson. I feel that her pricing is very fair (my previous teachers charged much higher rates) and she is flexible whenever I cannot meet for lesson (given advance notice). I highly recommend her for anyone looking for teacher --- young child or adult. I have only had her for acoustic guitar lessons, but I imagine she is probably just as competent at teaching other instruments.

Incredibly knowledgeable and versatile, yet perfectly personable, Theresa has been an absolute treasure of a teacher. From the very start, she has made the extra effort to relate our lessons to my particular musical interests and aspirations, while also just being tremendously fun to talk to. If she weren't the best music teacher I'd had the privilege of working with (which she certainly is), I'd probably still recommend her for the repartee alone.

Brian M.

Garland, TX

I've been teaching cello since 2005. My main teaching goals include helping the student to produce an excellent tone with consistent intonation, and to read music and perform with tasteful musical style. The typical curriculum will include learning solos, etudes (studies) and scales, as well as any other music the student may be interested in.

About Brian

I am a Dallas-based cellist and private cello teacher. In 2011 I earned my Master's degree in Cello Performance from Southern Methodist University, where I also earned my Bachelor's degree. My focus as a cellist is as an orchestral player, and I currently play with the Austin Symphony, Las Colinas Symphony, and Waco Symphony. Outside the realm of classical music, I play with a "sophisticated" bluegrass band for Arlington-based singer/songwriter Heather McCready with Milo Deering, and occasionally with "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Bluegrass Band" led by Dave Walser. I believe music is a gift that shou
ld be shared generously with others.

Andres V.

Dallas, TX

My lessons will basically focus on the student's needs. I will evaluate their abilities and based on that we will move to the area the students need work on. I am also open to the student's request whether they want to work on sound quality, sight-reading, even pop music, etc. There will be some sort of small concert every 3 months to show each student's progress. Online classes are just for specific questions the students have for me.

About Andres

I am a High School Graduate who was in all AP classes and I have the desire to teach and educate people in different fields. Music has been a part of my life forever and I have been playing the cello for 9 years. English is my favorite subject, I love writing and reading a lot I have always been in AP Languages. I was born in Chile therefore I am also fluent in Spanish. I have been acting since I was a child and I am part of the Theatre Magnet at Richardson High School. History is my second favorite subject and I am always willing to teach it. I was Senior Captain at the Richardson High School
