Brandon has give the perfect complement for my 9 yo daughter in-school lessons. She started in the school orchestra this year and she was among the least knowledgable students; right after she started with Brandon, her performance improved significantly. Now she's preparing for her first solo performance and Brandon has been a key in this process.

Brandon knew exactly hot to kickstart my 13 yo daughter in guitar. It was her first lesson ever and after a few weeks she made a huge progress. Now she plays guitar much better than me and it's been just a few months so far. This is part talent, but I have no doubt this is also part orientation. Brandon did a great job in motivation with her and figured out the best way to engage her in her learning.
Barbara R. Ringwood, IL

About Barbara

I have taught privately for 10-15 years. I teach viola, violin and piano beginners to advanced. Flute and cello beginners only. Guitar beginning through intermediate only.

Anna k. Chicago, IL

30 min to 1hr private lesson and group lesson in one week. Class recitals, group recitals, annual concert. I would like to give my students more opportunities to perform in front of the audience because in that way, they can progress faster and still have fun with other student in group. I do think to make student have fun with violin is important too but as a instructor, I think I need to find a fine line between having fun and make them play violin with good techniques and skills

About Betsey

I began playing violin when I was almost 3 years old. I graduated from New England Conservatory of Music with a violin performance degree in 1999. I continued my education graduating with a master of violin performance degree from Northern Illinois University in 2003. I teach private and group lessons from my shop in downtown Palatine, IL. I am a professional violinist playing all over Chicago. I love teaching as well as performing. I also teach violin at a private school in Schaumburg, IL.

Annarita T. Des Plaines, IL

I like making music fun. With the knowledge that playing an instrument is very difficult, my approach to teaching is to make each task seem as easy as possible. I promote the art of listening to music just as much as playing the notes on the page. I incorporate all the important aspects of violin playing: posture, sight-reading, technique, scales, and musicality to turn all my students into the best musicians they can be!

About Annarita

My name is Annarita and I am a violinist from Des Plaines, Illinois. I began playing at the age of seven, and by the time I was in high school I realized I wanted to make the violin my career. I attended Loyola University Chicago and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. In 2010, I began performing with the Fox Valley Orchestra and continue performing with them today. I was lucky enough to have studied abroad during the fall semester of 2011. I lived in Vienna, Austria for a few months to expand my knowledge of classical music. I enjoy performing with different ensembles and I also have a passion for teaching. I worked with People's Music School in Chicago as a violin teacher and ensemble coach. Today I work with the Chicago Metamorphosis Orchestra Project as a ...
