Vania is an excellent Spanish instructor

I've taken many Spanish lessons that have ranged from various software programs to personal tutors. Vania is great. She knows how to relate with each person in order to convey concepts. She's the best I have worked with.

She's also very accommodating, since I tend to change my schedule around a lot. She is always flexible to accommodate. Vania is simply great.

I liked the teaching style of Kelly. She carefully listened my objectives and decided how to proceed from there. This is my first class and I am very excited to learn in future classes.

About Amanda
Hello everyone! My name is Amanda O., and I am a Harpist, Voice teacher, Therapeutic Musician, Life Coach, Alternative Medicine Practitioner, and Vocalist who has over 21 years of experience as a classical vocalist and performer. By 8 years old, I began training as an opera singer and have merged my love of classical vocals with the therapeutic harp. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Diego State University, with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and am currently in my graduate program at Chaminade University of Honolulu studying to obtain my Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology. I graduated from the International Harp Therapy Program as a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner and have completed an internship at Apreva Hospice. I have experience playing therapeutic harp music at over 30 different facilities around San Diego, such
as Narzerath House, Bay View, Bella Vista, Monte Vista Village, and La Mesa Health Care Center, as well as making In-Home visits. I also have experience playing therapeutic music at over 20 facilities in Oahu, Hawaii, where I currently reside. These include independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care facilities! I also have experience playing for the actively dying for hospice and consider it an honor to be of musical assistance for people in transition.

I love to teach and can make my harp and voice lessons unique to each individual based on their current skill level. I love watching people expand and grow through music. Your lessons will be engaging, compassionate, fun, and organized! Each lesson will encourage you to become excited about your musical growth and inspire you to continue. I offer something unusual for a harp teacher in that I can teach both improvisation and music theory for the harp. This means that you will get the best of both worlds!

I also have obtained education from the Self-Heal School of Herbal Studies here in San Diego, where I have learned about herbal medicine. I am well versed in many alternative therapies (such as E.F.T., mindfulness meditation, therapeutic music, Ayurvedic medicine, amino acid therapy, etc.) and can provide compassion, understanding, and strategies for alleviating suffering as a Life Coach. My education towards my Master's degree in Psychology also helps me increase my understanding of the human condition and offer additional support for anxiety, depression, addiction, and other stresses. I believe that everyone deserves to live a life of freedom, safety, comfort, and relaxation. I hope to provide loving assistance for anyone seeking someone who cares and will put in the time to truly listen and provide helpful feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please let me know how I can be of service to you!

About Felizia Hunt
I will always cherish my time at Bernice Johnson’s Cultural Arts Center in Queens, New York, where I received my stage training/presence, confidence, and love of the Arts, through formal dance training. It started when I was three years old.

My career as the poet/spoken word artist known as "Freedom Speaks," began in 2003, after I opened for Def Poetry Jam on Broadway at Atlanta’s Fox Theater.

From there, I opened for the U.S. Human Rights Network National Conference; I was on Robert Townsend’s “Spoken” on The Black Family Channel; and was a performer and panelist at Oakhurst Medical Center's Hip Hop Health Summit held at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Performing Arts Center.

I did countless performances and workshops at colleges and events across the nation, teaching about writing, speaking, performing, and Black studies.

I began c
reating my own poetry books and helping other poets create their books, through my company, Freedom Speaks Ink. I edited books; and taught grant writing; and helped people overcome stage fright; and showed them how to book speaking engagements.

I recorded two CDs and one DVD, and began selling my company's t-shirts and other poetry products. Next, I started a non-profit organization called Griotsville Foundation for the Arts, where we did a monthly, family friendly, open-mic, with storytelling, and had it set up like an African Village, with drummers, children, elders, and good vibes.

We did community workshops and benefit events too.

By 2008, I had written and published my first novel called MANJANI, and spoke at Book Expo America in Los Angeles, CA when it was released.

I began teaching everything I had learned about writing and publishing at College of Coastal Georgia to Continuing Education students, in addition to running my own publishing company.

During that time, I was also published under different pseudonyms/brands, and became interested in teaching private clients how to write, publish, and perform ... so I got trained as a money/business coach.

As a coach, I created lots of home study products, taught lessons during teleseminars, and wrote business and self-improvement books.

The entire time, I was the homeschooling mom of a son, who recently (2018) took the SAT and scored a 700 on the Language/Writing part. That's the 95th percentile!

Let me help you Free Your Voice!
