Piano Lessons in Pahoa. Amazing Teachers.

Students will learn the basics and fundamentals of piano, including posture, hand shape, and finger shape. Students will learn how to read music and how to compose and create their own songs! Students will have opportunities to play solo on their own and also opportunities to play together with me. In each class, we will do piano art based on music theory concepts. :)

Learn to play piano by ear and learn techniques to express yourself in music.

I teach with an emphasis on note reading as well as incorporating ear/chord playing. I love the repertoire of classical music and try to encourage students with even easy versions of the great masterwork pieces.

Music college graduate, with plenty of experience in real-world musical settings and five years of teaching experience. When it comes to teaching I have plenty of patience and no judgment! I like to think of learning piano like hiking an unpaved trail to a destination. At times the trail can become difficult and you might be tempted to give up on the destination. But as you gain momentum and your destination gets closer and closer, one realizes their past troubles were worth their current gains.
My goal is to help you define realistic goals and then, how to obtain them. If you are unsure of what your goals are, that's okay too. We can cover the basics and in time, find out what your musical interests are. However, I expect my students to work towards improving their skills by practicing a little each day, or as I like to say students need to be hitting the woodshed.

I've been teaching piano for several years; whatever your goals: personal enjoyment, performing in church, or pursuing music as a career, I can get you on the right track! Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to read music notes, play basic chords and scales, and play a song from memory. As time goes on you'll be able to play various arrangements with ease and expressive musicality. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels, and I can't wait to meet you!

I teach piano in lots of Modern styles (pop, rock, blues, ballads, etc..). Also I teach accompaniment and how to play with a singer or with a band. I teach both academic and by ear too.
