Very patient, polite, amusing and explains clearly. Excellent teacher over all. :D
John is a brilliant teacher in my opinion for the following reasons:- He seems to be able to identify my own goals better than me- Laid back but still motivational- His ability to explain some of the patterns and relationships, particularly in the way he has made me think about the minor/major scales and how to use them together has been a huge help to me- Everything we do has a point that makes sense and keeps the lessons inspirational and funJohn's relaxed style, encouragement and ability to push me exactly where I need to go really works for me and I would definitely recommend him to anyone with a genuine interest in learning how to really become a better guitarist.

ound recording and reproduction is an electrical or mechanical inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Acoustic analog recording is achieved by a small microphone diaphragm that can detect changes in atmospheric pressure (acoustic sound waves) and record them as a graphic representation of the sound waves on a medium such as a phonograph (in which a stylus senses grooves on a record). In magnetic tape recording, the sound waves vibrate the microphone diaphragm and are converted into a varying electric current, which is then converted to a varying magnetic field by an electromagnet, which makes a representation of the sound as magnetized areas on a plastic tape with a magnetic coating on it. Analog sound reproduction is the reverse process, with a bigger loudspeaker diaphragm causing changes to atmospheric pressure to ...

You will learn the basics of recording from setting up your project and devices, to creating tracks (software and audio), and how to operate your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). You will also learn how to use plugins, and the fundamental effects used on tracks (EQ, compression, reverb, delay) and other 3rd party plugins (Waves, Kontakt). Understanding how to edit tracks, gain stage, and get a wide and deep stereo image will also be crucial, and you will learn how to mix and master your songs to get it sounding as professional as possible.

The world of music has changed.
Decades ago, if you were a musician, and you wanted to record an album you and your band played your asses off in bars and clubs every night and prayed that some big-shot producer in the audience who would impressed enough to give you a shot.
But not anymore.
Today, the trend in music production is shifting more and more toward home studios. Great music is being produced all the time in bedrooms, garages, and basements by normal folks like you and me
Often with little more than a computer, a USB mic, and some headphones.
Record a song, post it online, watch it go viral..and you’re famous overnight.
While it’s not that EASY, it is that SIMPLE.
But before any of that can happen, you must first know the process of how music actually is recorded.

My dad had a good voice, but with Randy at the piano (and adding an orchestra to the mix!!) my dad could easily have given Frank Sinatra a run for his money!!
Randy was gracious, considerate and attentive to Lou’s every thought and his every tone.
Lou is almost 102 now, and is quickly changing. I keep the record in my car and play it often, remembering and cherishing and tearing up for the good times it brings to mind."
