There are many routes and discoveries toward becoming a singer and here are a few of the steps.

1) Memorize musical selections and routines, or sing following printed text, musical notation, or instructions.

2) Interpret or modify music, applying knowledge of harmony, melody, rhythm, and voice production to individualize presentations and maintain audience interest.

3) Observe choral leaders or prompters for cues or directions in vocal presentation.

4) Perform before live audiences, or in television, radio, or movie productions.

5) Practice singing exercises and study with vocal coaches, in order to develop their voices and skills and to rehearse for upcoming roles.

6) Seek out and learn new music that is suitable for live performance and/or recording.

I started my formal music training at the age of four and have been giving music lessons since 2010. Most of my students reached and passed the short-term goals or exams I gave them, including NYSSMA, ABRSM, and some of them even got accepted into special high schools. Of course, all lessons are customized and catered depends on each student's abilities and goals. We can definitely work together to figure out the best way to help you or your child. I will as well teach you music theory, sight-read, ear-training, and a lot more techniques during our lessons. After all, we cannot play music without knowing some basic concepts or recognizing how they sound like, right?
