Dan has been absolutely amazing! From the very first lesson, he has been nothing but kind, patient and funny throughout all our sessions. Every lesson he incorporates games and anecdotes making it so much fun to learn!

He is very knowledgeable not only in ASL, but also in interpreting, which is great for my studies; I plan on having lessons with him throughout my studies for further help and practice.

He is super passionate about teaching ASL and goes out of his way to send you resources, links and information to further help your learning and practice of the language. Truly one of a kind!

I highly recommend him for learning any level of ASL!

Dan is awesome to work with. I've had five 30 minute sessions so far, and now have switched to 60 minutes - I've even paid in advance for 20 lessons because I know I'll be continuing with him long term. Love that he's very detail oriented and corrects me when I sign less than perfect.

As we took a childbirth class from Christelle, you might say we took one of the most important classes in our lives from her! We honestly believe if we had not taken her class we would not have had nearly so positive an experience in natural childbirth, so much credit is due to her. Christelle prepared thoroughly for all our lessons, included interesting activities and personal anecdotes. Most importantly, Christelle made it clear that she cared not only about our grasp of the content but also about us as people. That made all the difference.

Christelle is very knowledgeable and personal at the same time. I like how she can draw a lot from her personal experience as well.

I am an Educational Interpreter working in the K-12 school system as well as work with a Non-Profit that teaches beginner level ASL classes. I specialize in teaching beginner level American Sign Language for children and parents who are new to the language. I do this because learning a new language must be applied in ways that are easily comprehensive to both youngsters and adults.

Classes with me can vary from novel learning to advanced conversational sign language. Looking to learn basic, every day vocabulary? I've got you! Looking for an hour of immersion practice and signing? I've got you there too!

I am willing to be flexible with how I tutor, based on your needs. However, I specialize in working with children and teaching parents and children basic signs they'll need for everyday communication and needs.

About Taryn

Hi Y'all! My name is Taryn and I am currently an Educational Interpreter with the K-12 School Systems based in Colorado. I'm 23 and have been signing since I was 13 years old. I love to hike, bike, run and do all the fun outdoor things! American Sign Language is my passion and I am dedi

I became an American Sign Language interpreter 39 years ago in the Phoenix area. I have interpreted births, college classes, medical appointments, arrests and interrogations, courtroom trials, psychological assessments, employment-related appointments, behavioral health treatment, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and more. I taught American Sign Language and other related courses at Phoenix College in their Interpreter Training Program. I've been an interpreter coordinator, and interpreted video relay for 10 years.
