I am an experienced violinist of 24 years, and have performed nationally and internationally in locations such as Carnegie Hall, Europe, and Asia. I am a passionate and experienced teacher, and have worked with students of all ages and levels. I can't wait to help you on your musical journey!

For all my students, I strive to cultivate independence of thought and creativity so that they can communicate their ideas to the highest musical and technical degree. My pedagogy promotes proper and relaxed positioning of the violin, strong rhythmic integrity, and active listening. My goal is for all students to develop their own musical voices, which in turn makes learning music and the violin fun and engaging!

All lessons will incorporate theory, technique and repertoire. Practice recordings specifically tailored to you will also be available to help practice be fun and engaging!

I am an experienced violinist and violist and music educator, who loves working with adult beginners. I have been teaching for over 20 years, and performing professionally for over 30 years. Are you an adult who has always wanted to play the violin but was never able to? Were you told you were too old or that it was too late? Maybe you want to revisit the instrument you gave up as a youngster. I can help you get back on track. I can give you the skills and confidence you will need to accomplish your goals. It's never too late!

I am also gifted in strengthening the skills of those who have already had some experience playing violin and/or viola, but would like to improve, no matter your age. I can help young students prepare for all state and all county competitions. My lessons are laid back, personable, and enjoyable.

I teach all age, all level. I focus on scales, etudes, and short pieces that makes playing more enjoyable.

My enthusiastic teaching style makes learning music with me fun & exciting. My philosophy is to teach the individual by customizing the Music curriculum to the specific needs of the student. As partners in learning, the student will achieve the highest success through positive reinforcement & a positive learning environment. Students can expect to have their love of music nurtured as they gain technical competency through our lessons.

I'm passionate about music and have a Masters Degree in Violin Performance with over 20 years experience teaching the violin. I will help you achieve your goals whether you are wanting to learn the violin as a hobby, for school or pursue music as a professional career!
