I began voice lessons at the age of 5. I have performed on stage and won various awards throughout the years. However, my great love is in teaching, being "behind the scenes" and helping others reach their potential. With more than 20 years of experience, combined with amazing teachers, I have accumulated an array of knowledge about the voice. I can also teach you how to accompany yourself with your chosen instrument. The truth is, anyone can sing! The breath is what holds the key to unlocking the amazing potential of your voice, and with practice, you can allow the voice to express your own unique individuality. All voices are different and beautiful, and it is the job of a voice teacher to help you reveal to you your own voice through proper technique, getting in touch with your body, and with "allowing" your voice to shine. I have over 10 years of vocal training, in classical, musical theater, pop and jazz. I graduated Belmont University in 2015 with a degree in Commercial Voice. Not only can I teach you all about the voice & anatomy, I can give you a great foundation for music theory and songwriting. I want to teach you to have the most natural, best sound your voice can produce without getting worn out. Additionally, I want to teach you how to properly run your own sound at a gig and know the foundations of running your own rehearsals/band.

My degree is in Vocal Music Education. I teach you the techniques and skills needed to sing Classically. I also work on stage presence, Theory, Site-singing and Music Reading.

I've been a classical singer for 30 years and have sung leading roles with the Caramoor Music Festival, Glimmerglass Opera and the Orchestra of St. Luke's, among many others. Even more important than my experience, however, is my sensitive and expert touch with students of all ages and personality types. The fundamentals of vocal technique underlie all my teaching, but the individual touch and approach is tailored to each student, whatever his or her age or experience.

As an active operatic soprano, opera is my pride and joy.
I strive to help people develop their own unique singing voice, working on breath, vowels, and vocal placement. I have sung leading roles in both opera companies and leading universities and conservatories in the Pacific Northwest and New York City alike.

Lessons will be completely individualized and I have a specific concentration in the production of a healthy classical technique and have vast experience with choosing vocal repertoire.
