I am a graduate of Cal Poly Ponoma University with a BA degree in voice. I have 20+ year experience teaching voice and piano. Building people is my passion and commitment. My students learn by doing and I love the growth each student takes from their lessons as well as their performances. I am a working artist in the music field as a vocalist, conductor, and motivating speaker.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The teacher's home studio is in a room with a piano and musical books. The room is large with a grand piano and keyboard.

*** Travel Equipment ***

This was my first experience with any type of formal voice lessons. The first lesson was great. The instructor is skilled in vocal instruction, instrument training and formal music theory. The lesson was fun, informative and I easily paced for me to follow.

My love of music started at the young age of 6 with piano lessons. My parents always said, "piano lessons were the best investment they ever made." Because of their investment it took me through my growing up years playing piano and singing at church and school then into college with a music major. I also auditioned and made the specialty touring "Vanguard Choral Group" and had the experience of producing a record back in the day. Taking what I had learned is now a joy to share with you.

As a private teacher, I can promise you an enjoyable and very rewarding experience - smiles and laughter
are guaranteed! My number one goal for each of my students is to foster confidence in one's self and one's abilities and to grow one's skills with the passion in music.

For more than 30 years I have taught private piano and vocal lessons. I also have taught K-12th Music classes in Private Schools and directed children and adult choirs in churches. My joy in life is sharing my love for music with you!

*** Lesson Details ***
Our lessons will be filled with fun, yet challenging. I am patient and very encouraging with every student. I understand that every student learns in a way that's unique to them and I will do my best to discover your best learning method.

I believe it is important for you to have a strong foundation of learning to read notes and understanding the basics of music whether for piano or vocally. Each lesson will conclude with an assignment of songs given to work on throughout the week. These will be the same songs worked on during the lesson time, so you will go home with the knowledge to master each song. Music theory and technique exercises will also be included in the assignments.

Daily practice is strongly urged and will be rewarded. The amount of practice time varies by age and level of skill.

Within the first 3 - 6 months you will understand the basics and start feeling confident in becoming the pianist or vocalist you desire. Everyone learns at their own pace but with your desire and a little hard work and me as your guide and cheerleader you will succeed!

I use the Bastien and Alfred method books. I will also introduce Christmas, Pop, Jazz, Christian, Classical and Broadway Hits for variety as time goes on.

Looking forward to meeting you!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Digital Piano

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will purchase books but expect reimbursement for them on your first lesson. Cost is usually $10.00 to $22.00 depending on which music books I feel will work best for your age and ability.

*** Specialties ***
Creativity in both piano and vocal training
Enjoy all aspects of the arts including set design and costuming

About Aaron
As a 15-year-old teen I was headed nowhere. I had no interests and was failing my freshman year of high school. Then I started playing the guitar and fell in love with music. As I studied under my dad, who was a professional musician, my mind started to open up, my attention span grew. My problem solving skills and comprehension improved to such a degree that my grades went up to the honor level. Since I ended up graduating with a 4.0, I preach and stress the importance of learning a musical instrument.
I got into teaching only 4 years after I first picked up the guitar and immediately found
that it was what I wanted to do for a living. Oh sure! Playing in bands is fun but I enjoy seeing my students grow in and with music most of all. Having over 20 years’ experience as a professional musician and teacher. I have been teaching exclusively in the High Desert area for the last 16 years. I started at a music store in Apple Valley called Hi Note Music then taught at Tom's for 14 years. Now I teach at Rollover Beethoven's Music store in Hesperia and out of my studio in Apple Valley.

*** Lesson Details ***
I can teach almost any style of music including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Country and R&B. I stress the fundamentals: technique, reading, theory, ear training but in addition, I will give you all the licks and tricks you want. The important thing is to develop good habits because bad habits take a long time to overcome. I will provide you with the tools to play anything your heart desires and the ability to teach yourself.

*** Studio Equipment ***
separate studio w/ seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
Have portable sound system and lap top computer. All the student needs are their instrument.

*** Specialties ***
I have written methods that I have found to work very well in teaching the student all aspects of music and how to apply it towards the instrument. My methods include the essentials in reading, finger exercises, theory, and ear training. I like to prepare my students for any and all genres. The key is to teach the student how to teach themselves.

Very experienced musician with a strong desire
to share my passion for music.

I started playing drums at 11 years old and have continued ever since.

During high school and college I performed with both school and independent drumline ensembles.

After which, I enrolled at the Musician's Institute of Technology in Hollywood, CA. During my time at MI, I learned many different styles of rythyms and musical genres. After one year of a very intensive cirriculum, I graduated with a Certificate of Percussion performance.

I've recorded albums for several independent artists. I have als
o peformed for private corporations such as Volkswaggen.

I'm currently performing with a blues band and my home Church.

I would love to share my experiences and pass on my knowledge to any and everyone. You're never too old and it's never too late.

Grab a pair of sticks and let's get drumming!

All the best!

Artists like Billy Joel and Elton John may make it look effortless, but singing and playing the piano at the same time takes time and practice to truly master! Understandably, it’s difficult because you’re multitasking by "playing" two instruments simultaneously – your voice and the piano.
