About Trina

I'm a friendly, patient, enthusiastic, experienced teacher, joyfully instructing piano professionally since 1999. Music transcends words, and I have a deep understanding of music/ piano, both personal/ experiential, and technical/ academic which I truly enjoy sharing with my students. A classically-trained pianist, I've been taking piano lessons since age 6 and playing "by ear" from early childhood. I continued to study piano throughout elementary school, high school, and college where I studied piano, music history and theory. I studied and completed fieldwork and internships in music therapy and psychology, and have extensive experience working with students with special needs. My 5 and 8 years old sons have been learning piano from Ms.Trina almost a year. I was amazed at Ms. Trina's unending patience. I cannot believe I can find a piano teacher with good patience dealing with my sons. My 5 year old son was always lacking confidence to do every single thing, but through Ms. Trina's encouragement, he has gain confidence and he actually feels proud of himself when he plays something well. My 8 years old son likes to complain every single things, but he was so happy with Ms. Trina and he even told me Ms. Trina is the best teacher. Ms. Trina also customized each lesson according to my sons' needs. She is creative and fun approach to work totally engaged my sons. She is such an amazing and one of a kind teacher- her love for her work is apparent in her commitment to her students.

Thomas has a great level of patience for students new to music lessons. He has a very enthusiastic approach to each lesson that he teaches. I truly enjoy how he is able to share his passion for music, often relating piano to other musical instruments during lessons.
Since I am someone very new to the world of music, I look forward to continuing my lessons with Thomas with the hopes that I can grow as a musician. I highly recommend his talents as a teacher of music.

The Best Drum Teacher

Jason is a fantastic drum teacher. I would highly recommend his services. Jason is a professional, dedicated, great personality and caring person. He is the type of person after meeting him we felt like we have known him for years. He taught my son not just to play the drums but also to be a performer. My son would always come home excited after lessons. Jason makes it fun for my son to learn. Within a few months my son played at our school talent show and he gave the performance of his life! The drums helped build up my sons self- esteem. Jason offers a private drum lesson at an affordable price. We are extremely happy and would definitely recommend him to everyone.

Michael is an wonderful teacher! He is extremely patient, very encouraging, informative, personable, and easy to talk to. I have always wanted to play an instrument so I decided to take trumpet lessons. I am very happy Michael and I crossed paths. I work full time and he is very flexible with my schedule. He has coached me not only on how to play, but how to care for my trumpet- today my lesson included how to clean it. I am in awe with the how many instruments he can play. This is also fun for me because after just a few lessons, we are playing duets together! I am also excited that after a short period of time, I am actually reading music. Overall an amazing teacher that I would recommend for any instrument because of his vast knowledge in music!

Greg is a musician, teacher, and rocker all in one! Working with my daughter for more than three years, he brought out her natural musical talent. He understands this student extremely well and has helped her to focus on her music like she never has before. Just to hear the two of them playing together, sounds like it is coming from the radio and not the next room! An important part of teaching music is for students to learn about different types of music, and working with Greg has opened my daughter's eyes to music from different eras. Greg recorded and produced a song my daughter wrote, in his studio, called "Together We Can", for a National PTA contest, and was the New York State winner! I know that working with Greg, my daughter will continue to have success!

Our son has been taking guitar lessons since he was seven years old. Greg came highly recommended to us from a local music store. We chose Greg because of his expertise, knowledge and ability to teach Robert everything he needs to be an amazing guitarist. Learning to read music might not always be easy but Greg was able to convey to our son the importance of this skill. Greg has been the catalyst in making sure Robert is the skilled guitarist that he is today. Greg has taught Robert every style of music. Robert has been in the Jazz Band since 9th grade. In addition to playing with the Wind Ensemble, Robert has been asked to accompany the high school Show Choir and to participate in the elementary school performances. This year he will be attending All County for Guitar. Greg is always reliable, extremely flexible and dependable as a teacher. I would highly recommend Greg as an instructor. Robert is extremely impressed by his abilities and professionalism.

I mean, the guy can play Frank Zappa note-for-note! Greg is tremendously knowledgeable and is genrerous in sharing that know-how. He is an intelligent, caring, committed individual. Two thumbs up!
