He attends guitar workshops and seminars by artists such as John5 and Kerry King who are known as some of the worlds finest guitar players. He reviews every day from a wide range of over 1000 sources working to become a better musician and instructor.

Hello!! I am a certified yoga teacher who loves to teach what she practices. I have been seriously practicing yoga since June of 2013 and I have learned most of what I know through practicing on my own.
I teach lessons based on the Sivananda style of yoga which is based on yoga as a whole lifestyle, focusing on proper exercise, relaxation, proper diet and meditation to guide you in leading a happy healthy life.

Amanda is a great teach and her sense of calmness and her way of easing you into an asana makes you feel relaxed no matter what level of yogi you are. Her passion to teach others is reflected in her personal care that she dedicates to every student.

Amanda is a great teacher who is obviously passionate about what she does. She is very easy going and gentle with beginners, such as myself, but definitely offered challenges for the more experienced yogis in our class. I really appreciate that she notices any and all small improvements I've made from class to class and is never shy about celebrating those successes with all of her students. I definitely recommend her as a teacher.
Hi! My name is Jackie, and I have 15+ years of experience in teaching, tutoring, and training. Currently, I am enjoying tutoring adults in passing the California teacher’s exam, as well as teaching teenagers and adults Spanish.
All of my students, meaning a perfect 100%, have improved their grades by at least one letter grade, if not more, and passed every one of their tests and exams. I help ALL my clients reach their goals!
Recently, I returned to San Diego after living in Peru where I taught English as a second language. My students ranged from adult business people and academicians
to primary and secondary school students. I really needed to utilize different teaching methods depending on each student’s needs. Some students wanted more business-related conversation, so I had be able to teach business principles in marketing, communication, logistics, interviewing, and so much more. Critical thinking was an area that I pushed my business students to improve. Other students needed to work on the basics of grammar, reading, and writing, and we had a lot of fun in class, whether going through the interactive lesson or improvising by singing the American pop songs to learn the lyrics.
The feedback I often received from my Peruvian students, as well as my students in Mexico and the U.S., was that I made learning an enjoyable experience—they wanted to work harder to advance quickly in their classes. All of my students agree that I have a lot of patience and turn even the most challenging lessons into ones of positivity and encouragement. I provide critical feedback in the most constructive of ways that helps the students reach conclusions on their own. I enjoy being there to support and guide their experience!
Before I left for Peru, I worked at St Vincent de Paul Village (part of Father Joe's Villages) in downtown San Diego. There I taught homeless and low-income adults with and without learning disabilities, as well as children from preschoolers to high school students. Teaching such a wide variety of students pushed me to think creatively and come up with memorable ways to engage the students and help them remember the lessons.
In high school, I took all AP and college prep classes. I went to a liberal arts college in Virginia where I focused on social studies and biology. I spent a few years training business people in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, InDesign, as well as presentation techniques. In grad school, I specialized in applied anthropology and public health. During that time, I tutored students in web design. In between, I've worked in Communications and Training in international health and development, so I have a lot of experience to bring to teaching.
Basically, I love teaching. I'm enthusiastic yet patient, and I absolutely adore helping kids and adults alike learn. It's such a sense of accomplishment when my students show off their terrific grades. I see the same look in my students’ eyes regardless of age—that pride that shines from within, that exuberant smile, like they can conquer anything. I want my students to keep that pride for a long, long time.

She was so happy to help. Very frustrating as I fell behind in Spanish over 2 quarters but Jackie is getting me back on track with compassion.

We are so used to viewing life from a right-side-up perspective, where we soak in the world around us by way of our sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, and mouth). We process everything upstairs, allowing it all to accumulate to form our point of view, which in turn fuels our decisions, reactions, and movements down to our toes. Rather than taking the ti …
