Susan R.

Camp Hill, PA

About Susan

I have over six years of teaching piano to children and adults, from beginner to intermediate levels. I also have over eight semesters of piano, as well as a minor in music. I occasionally play the piano for special music in church. I use what ever method I find suitable to the student. I also occasionally allow the student to pick his or her own music. For children, particularly younger ones, I use different things for incentives, such as stickers and lollipops. I worked in daycare for twenty two years, so I have experience with children from ages three to twelve.

He is a great teacher! He balances technique with expression in his teaching, from learning scales to performing pieces. He made it challenging, but fun. He taught me and all my siblings as well and they have all grown to appreciate music and gained skills that they use in other areas of music and learning.

Having worked with Nikita and knowing him personally, I hold him in very high regards. Not only Nikita is an outstanding performer and musician, but he also is a very strong teacher, who holds high level of professionalism. Nikita finds individual approach to each one of his students, helps them find passion for music within themselves and express it in their performance, all of which are key pedagogical qualities. Having music as an essence of his life, Nikita naturally sparks love for music in other people. Nikita gave me many helpful tips on how to become a better performer, as well as how to have the confidence to be one. But above all, Nikita has a very bright personality, a very lighthearted sense of humor and a natural ability drive people towards him. Nikita is a very inspiring young man.

Christopher C.

Mount Joy, PA

About Christopher

Hello! I am a Juilliard trained Opera Singer/Vocal Coach. I have been teaching voice since 1999. I have an undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D in Music and have performed at some of the leading opera houses in the world. I am trained to teach Opera, Broadway, Musical Theater and Popular vocal styles! It all starts with good vocal technique that can be transferred to all vocal genres.
When I approach a teaching situation, the first things I always ask myself are how I can draw the students in, how I can make them excited about learning what I am teaching, and how I can stimulate their intellectual
and musical interests, thereby inspiring them to seek out further opportunities for music learning and experience beyond the particular context of the course or lesson.
