I teach and perform styles ranging from classical and Jazz to country, classic rock and even metal. I enjoy teaching all styles and ability levels.
I have been teaching guitar for the last 7 years. Originally a classical trained pianist I became the leader of an ensemble which included several guitarists. If order to lead them I had to learn how they think. So I bought a guitar and started learning from them. My method of teaching combines my classical background from the piano with styles used in playing with the ensemble. Most guitarists don't read music but my students learn to read music from the very beginning. Music theory is one of my strengths and I pass that on to my students.

I've always seemed to have a knack for teaching certain family members and friends the basics and fluently describing music theory to seasoned players
weather its learning to tackle how to read tabs to figure out your favorite songs or to fully tackle music theory ill do my best to make it as approachable as possible
