I do stress and recommend all my students to learn how to read music and usually by our second or third lesson they will playing simple songs. I am here to help you make music!

About OMAR

Knowing that you are looking for a instructor to teach you music puts a smile in my face. You see, music has been a part of my life since the age of 3. Some of my first memories are or me accompanying my father at home with his rehearsals or just singing together to have fun as a family. I believe music is a gift that unites people together bringing out our deepest emotions that words cannot express. At the age of 5 I received an organ and from that point on I embarked on a long life journey to indulge and learn more about music. In elementary, junior high and high school I was involved in any subject dealing with music. I joined school choirs, orchestras, bands, marching bands, jazz bands, musicals you name it. While enjoying all school music activities I was selected to join in honor ...

I'm a new student.

I recently started taking piano lessons for the first time at the age of 65. Pierre has been very encouraging and patient. He has also been very professional, and has even been flexible when my schedule has conflicted with our lessons, allowing me to reschedule when necessary. I am enjoying this very much, and that has much to do with Pierre.

Great teacher!

Pierre is by far the best music teacher I've come across. I used several other teachers before Pierre, and none of them were able to take me to the level Pierre has. He's very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient, but best of all, he's a lot of fun. He has the perfect blend of making the lessons challenging and informative, and at the same time enjoyable. His love for music is infectious, and my appreciation for music has grown tremendously since working with him. I can't recommend him enough!

Pierre Rules!

Pierre is the raddest music teacher I've ever had. He's always on time, always prepared, and always ready to have a great time on any instrument. His sense of humor is great and he makes learning even the most difficult songs fun. Since he can play any instrument, you'll always have someone to play along with. He has a deep love for all kinds of music, which is the best quality in a musician, teacher, and drummer. I can't recommend Pierre enough. He's given me the confidence, both musically and personally, to drum in a band, Hearing Damage. THIS DUDE RULES!!!

About Aaron

As a 15 year old teen I was headed no where. I had no interests, and was failing my freshman year of high school. This is when I started playing the guitar and fell in love with music. As I studied under my dad who was a professional musician my mind started to open up. My attention span grew. My problem solving skills and comprehension improved to such a degree that my grades went up to the honor level in my sophomore year. I graduated with a 4.0 so I preach and stress the importance of learning a musical instrument. I got into teaching only 4 years after I first picked up the guitar and immediately found that it was what I wanted to do for a living. Oh sure! Playing in bands is fun and I do play in 3 different bands at the moment, but I enjoy seeing my students grow in and with music ...

Trey X Corona, CA

About Trey

My passion for music has led me clear across the country, from Boston to the San Francisco Bay Area. I have played guitar for 17 years, in various bands of many different genres, and have attended music schools on both coasts to fortify my musical knowledge. I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and then graduated from Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park. My specialties are in rock and metal guitar, and also in composition and music theory. *** Lesson Details *** My teaching style is centered around the individual learning styles of the student, rather than the imposition of an impersonal broad curriculum. You may find me to be laid back, but I expect my students to be dedicated and to practice the material so that we can progress together. I find that beginners especially ...

Mark C. Riverside, CA

I have been a professional bassist for over 25 years. Be it metal, Ska, reggae, blues, jazz, country, funk or punk chances are I've played it (sometimes all at once). I'm well versed in theory but I put a special emphasis on groove...

About Mark

I was born and raised in Southern California and have been playing bass professionally for over 25 years. I studied music theory at Riverside Community College and specialize in most genres of music including rock, ska, reggae, country and blues. I am a founding member of both ska legends The Skeletones and alt-country heroes Bucksworth. I've toured internationally and have shared the stage with such luminaries as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Smash Mouth, No Doubt, Sublime, Jefferson Starship and Steel Pulse. My discography includes eleven full-length studio albums and numerous compilations. My playing has been featured on several international cable shows including MTV's Viva La Bam, The Hills, Parental Control and Punk'd.

Joseph C. Upland, CA

As a bass guitar player, I have played since I was 15 years old. I have played in 2 performing bands as a bassist, despite the fact that it is not my main instrument. I have earned a degree in music theory from San Juan College in New Mexico with an emphasis in guitar performance. While there I performed as a bassist for just over a year.

Students of mine can expect many things from me as their instructor. The first and foremost is that I will do my absolute best to make learning the instrument enjoyable and challenging. They can expect to gain a solid foundation on which to build their personal technique and style. They can expect to be shown how music theory is used to craft the music that they are playing and how these concepts can benefit them as a musician. Finally, they can expect to set goals for themselves that we can accomplish as a team.

About Joseph

Hello! My name is Joseph C. and I want to help you start your musical journey. I have been playing guitar and bass since I was 15 years old and started playing payed performances in my early 20's. I am currently performing with a Ramones tribute band as well as a internationally recognized, and NAMMI award winning Native American flute artist. I have taught guitar and bass since 2009 as well as tutored music theory students at the college that I attended. As an instructor, I have but one philosophy. Music is supposed to be fun. There is supposed to be passion. I don't believe in doing tons of work out of books or methods. My preferred approach to music instruction is finding out ...
