About David
I teach Pop, rock, blues, and metal. I was taught for about 10 years on acoustic/electric and have had 5years doing private vocal lessons. After that I started teaching myself Guitar, Bass, and piano. I started playing for about five years touring and have taught in churches and learning centers. I also have a band and play lead guitar at a venue every Saturday night. I benefit from teaching when I see the student gets it and the accomplishment is what makes me speechless to the impact I have made or whatever impact there is to come! Also, feel free to check out my band at www.deardestinymusic
.com

*** Lesson Details ***
Students cant expect a laid back atmosphere with zero pressure. Learning guitar, like any other hobby or anything you wish to learn, requires dedication and love for the craft. Anyone can play any instrument they put their mind to, all they have to do is love it and enjoy the feeling of making music.

The Curriculum I use is Mel Bay's Guitar Method. It's the book I used when I was first learning and it set a firm foundation on which I have learned to build on and improve.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Digitech GNX 3000 Pedal board
Line 6 UX2 Interface
Schecter Damien Elite Solo 6
Ibanez S1170
Line 6 212
Kustom 412 Head and Half Stack

*** Travel Equipment ***
A guitar, I expect the students to have a tuner or get a guitar in time.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in legato, alternate picking, sweep picking, economic picking and basically all methods of playing lead guitar. But I do start off by teaching acoustic and rhythm guitar

Orlando-based composer and guitarist Damien has made a name for himself as a writer of scores for film, theater and dance productions.;A graduate of Music Composition at SUNY Purchase (New York) and Musicology at the University College of Dublin (Ireland). Years of touring internationally and score writing has given Damien the experience and work ethic to share his musical knowledge and abilities with others. Producing 4 cds and appearing on countless others' cds and compilations; Damien can share not only his musical/theoretical talents, but his experience in producing, recording, writing, an
d performing live.

*** Lesson Details ***
Damien is a very patient and moderately, laid back teacher. He will teach what you want to learn, yet give you suggestions on other avenues to approach. Basics lead to complete knowledge of any subject. Starting from the beginning of what a student knows and moving forward step by step will only lead to perfection in their lessons. Having fun doing this, is the only way to keep a student focused and progressing. Enjoyment is the number one focus of Damien's lessons. If a student isn't enjoying and having fun with their lessons then they will not progress.
Damien teaches ages of 5-99. You are never too young or old to learn. Damien's main focus is guitar and music theory

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would expect the student to provide their own guitar (if necessary) and a notebook
I have private parking for my students, so they don't have to worry about parking, ever !
*** Specialties ***
I have been taught, on a college level, of classical, jazz, ethnic musics. I specialize in guitar, theory, composition.

I was super nervous when I went to my first lesson, but Damien was very reassuring and helpful. He asked a lot of questions to find out where I was at, and then from there he started teaching me. So far, I think he's a great teacher and will help me reach my goals.

About Sharon
Been playing the violin for over 40 yrs. Started in elementary school and held the coveted "Concert Master" designation all through high school. Been playing fiddle since 1985. Twenty years experience as a dance fiddler, and the last several years studying swing and traditional Irish. I play in three bands, all different genres.
I consider myself so lucky to be blessed to be playing an instrument. It is one of the best kept secrets to life. This is a point I like to stress to my students. It enhances your mind, you can make wonderful friendships with like minded people, and constantly learn n
ew tunes and genres. It just keeps you young at heart. I love spreading the Gospel of music.I consider myself so lucky to be blessed to be playing an instrument. It is one of the best kept secrets to life. This is a point I like to stress to my students. It enhances your mind, you can make wonderful friendships with like minded people, and constantly learn new tunes and genres. It just keeps you young at heart. I love spreading the Gospel of music. I am very patient and will teach my students everything I've learned over the past 40 years.

*** Lesson Details ***
I give 30 minute and 60 minute lessons. I recommend 30 minute lessons for beginners. I teach classical techniques for holding the instrument. Scales and intonation work are important, and can be integrated into simple songs so as not to be boring. Teach sight reading and auditory learning. Auditory is more important as Music is an auditory art. I am easy going and teach what the student wants to learn as everyone is on different levels and has different ways of learning. I also teach violin chords, and applied theory as to improvisation for playing. All skill levels welcome.

I use handouts from several different music books and will tailor them to your skill level. I do expect my students to find some time to practice what I give them. I really want my students to get all the bang they can for their buck

*** Studio Equipment ***
Living room/open area setup for lessons with music stand. Parents can sit in on lessons. Parking in driveway and on street in cul de sac.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Stand, and my instrument and books. Student must have their own instrument.

*** Specialties ***
Methods: Sight reading, Auditory reading, some Suzuki, bowing techniques, genres; Old-Time, Irish, Bluegrass, some swing, cajun.

About Yegues
I am currently the guitar teacher at Ocoee High School.

I have a degree in Music Education and Flute Performance from Florida State University. Flute was my primary instrument throughout high school and college, but guitar is now my main focus. I have given multiple lessons and master classes on both flute and guitar. I have also been a music theory tutor for many students. I have a lot of experience with both giving and receiving lessons, so I have learned many ways to adapt to any situation.

I love laughing and making jokes, which is one of the most important aspects of any teacher. Le
ssons should be something to look forward to rather than dreading to spend time practicing. I do prefer being more laid back as a teacher, but still know when it's time to get more serious about the work.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am laid back most of the time time, but I still expect whatever we assigned to be practiced for the next/current lesson. I will expect some form of technique exercise to be played as a warm up to each lesson as well as non-instrumental warm-ups like breathing. As a student, you can choose repertoire to work on, or I can provide music and etudes depending on the skill level. I can provide any supplementary materials as needed.

Music lessons - Flute and guitar are the two instruments I play at a professional level, however, I am able to play and have a solid understanding of most instruments.

Math lessons - My experience ranges from elementary to college as far as giving lessons. I come into lessons prepared, and will know most of the subject matter presented, and if not, I am a quick learner and am able to understand material presented very quickly.
