"Marjorie is an amazing teacher!! She's very supportive and inspiring to the point that now I've started to get into songwriting. She even teaches me relax

"Dave is in one word, awesome! He is patient but still pushes you and truly customizes the lesson for you because it's one-on-one. If you are thinking abou
t drum lesson, stop thinking and take the next step. You will not regret it! I Am truly a beginner - cannot read music, never learned music but just love music especially the drums. In the few lessons I have had with Dave, I have made a lot of progress and can see the difference. I was very nervous initially, not sure about how I would be as a music student but Dave makes it fun! No regrets. My goal now is to get both my girls to play drums as well."

"I learned a lot about piano techniques during the little time that I spent with Vincent, but most importantly patience. I was able to use his verbal instr
uctions to learn a few songs he taught me and even learned how to play with both hands simultaneously! Vincent was ALWAYS on time and more than willing to work with your schedule and what you need to work on. If it wasn't for my hectic schedule, I would keep working with him.
Thank you, Vincent! It was a pleasure working with you!!!"

My instructor Kelly Z. is completely professional, made me feel at ease, very knowledgeable, wonderful at communication, fun, and she made me feel
comfortable and I would definitely recommend her to others. The "Take lessons" employees were kind and extremely professional. So far my experience has been very rewarding for me."

"Delilah is an amazing violinist whose passion for music is contagious. I am almost 25 years old and six months ago I picked up a violin for the very first
time. Playing this instrument was a life-long dream that I finally decided to pursue and Delilah's encouragement and support has helped keep me going. I was nervous to begin lessons because my memories of playing the guitar was of the process becoming less about artistic exploration and more about conforming to a rigorous routine that I soon turned against. My experiences with the violin have been extraordinarily different, thanks to Delilah."
I began piano lessons at four years of age, and was blessed to have an amazing piano teacher, who taught me for 14 years. She gave me a passion to teach others and impart to them a love for music. I have carried on that calling and taught hundreds of adults and children over the last 30 years. I am very thorough in my method and customize each lesson around the goals and dreams of each student. I incorporate theory, ear training and technical into all my lessons, regardless of the style of music they are learning. This gives my students an all-round musical education and appreciation for this
wonderful gift they have in their hands.
I have experience in the professional music world as a pianist and french horn player, performing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera Chorus and Orchestra, Sydney Sinfonia, Sydney Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, as well as productions of "Cats", "Phantom of the Opera", Sesame Street, and touring all over Australia, U.S.A. and Israel. I have also been a part of the worship teams at Hillsong Church and C3 Church Australia.
I studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and also received my Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in French Horn (Teaching) and Licentiate Diploma from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) in Piano (Performance). So my experience not only comes from an inspiring teacher, but also from hundreds of performances on stages across the world working with the finest of musicians, singers, conductors and worship leaders.
I love music, and more so, love imparting it to others.
*** Lesson Details *** Students come away from their lessons inspired and excited about their ability to accomplish their dreams. Whether it is to play 'Phantom of the Opera' or an Adele song, Debussy's Claire De Lune or Jingle Bells, I show them how to do it and help them get there. I am very thorough, taking no short cuts, but making it fun to learn an instrument. You will be amazed at what you are playing in three to six months!
*** Specialties *** Classical, Jazz, Rock, Contemporary Christian

We LOVE Peter! He has such an easy going personality and his instruction in learning the guitar makes it easy to pick up. I would recommend Peter to any age who has the sincere desire to learn an instrument. I know I can trust him with instructing my son, as well as any member of my family.

As an adult student (52) returning to the arduous task of learning the piano, Peter has been a blessing after four different piano teachers. Peter is patient, kind, inspirational, and probably most important for a budding musician, is not shy in emphasizing the necessary discipline necessary in performing a piece of musical as it was written. I'm quite confident that I will be able to reach my goals with Peter's instruction.

I have 30 years of teaching experience and have enjoyed a successful singing, teaching and conducting career in the US and Australia. I have excellent piano skills and can sight-read and play most piano accompaniments for my voice students. No two students are alike so I teach everyone according to their needs and their learning style. I have an exceptional understanding of the voice and communicate using tangible imagery to produce excellent results. I work with all levels of singers from beginners to career level in Broadway, Pop and Classical styles. Beyond university training, I have had
training from teachers and coaches from the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Arizona Opera and many others. With piano, again, technique is important but lessons must be FUN! I like using innovative ideas and materials so that learning is exciting.
Practice is important for progress so the more you practice the faster you progress.
Because there is always more to learn, I continue to study and attend master-classes and workshops so I can be the best teacher I can be.
*** Lesson Details *** I always want my students to leave their lessons knowing that they are better at the end of the lesson than they were at the beginning. Lessons are all about skill-building, so fundamentals of technique, theory and repertoire are included elements. I'm pretty laid back but know that practice is essential to progress. To that end, I always want my students to understand how to practice, not just what to practice. Practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent! My goal as a teacher is not just to help you achieve your goals, but to give you the ability to build on your own skills by knowing the how and the why, not just the what.
*** Studio Equipment *** Lessons in the music room, 5'8" grand piano, computer, iPad, Apple TV, music stands, good lighting
*** Travel Equipment *** Students must have a piano that is tuned and in good working order or a full 88-key weighted action keyboard. Voice students must provide a recording device. All students will be required to purchase music books.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in teaching the Italian school of "bel canto" singing. This technique provides complete connection of breath, voice and body and applies to all styles of singing.
For piano, I don't adhere to any one method. I teach practical, "real world" piano skills including playing chords and improvisation.
I have a Level 1 AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Patti is a phenomenal musician and teacher
Patti is the most effective music teacher I have worked with. She has an intimate and readily communicated knowledge of vocal technique, and crucially, where problems can arise. She has an intuitive awareness of the voice in a way that can only come from extensive professional experience in performance and education. In a relatively short space of time I have learnt a great deal and grown vocally beyond what I thought I would be capable of.
I cannot recommend Patti highly enough.

She does an amazing job!
Pattie is an absolutely wonderful teacher who really knows her stuff. I have learnt so much over the short time we spent together and even though its been a while I can still put her techniques to good use.
I am a pianist, guitarist, singer and songwriter. Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, I studied classical and jazz piano with Carole Neal, and classical and jazz guitar with Hank Bryant. I have won one Washington Area Music Award for an original instrumental composition. I have performed with numerous and varied musical situations, including The University of Maryland Jazz Orchestra, Pavement Chasers Tribute to Adele, Elvis Aaron Presley Jr., and my own original group âÂÂLUMAâÂÂ, which performed at venues all over the Washington, D.C. area. In 1999, I received a Certificate of Au
dio Engineering from The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. I then produced and performed as a studio musician on a variety of regional and national projects, including radio advertisements for The United Way, Chevrolet, and Pringles. In 2000, I produced, performed, and co-engineered on a recording of my own original music entitled âÂÂA & LILLâÂÂ. I have extensive background and experience in rock, jazz, blues, classical and country musical styles. I currently perform as a freelance keyboardist and guitarist in the Phoenix metro area. In addition to teaching, my other musical passion is writing and performing my original music. I am published through Big Fish Music Publishing Group. With many years of experience teaching students of all ages, I am confident that I can provide lessons that combine both the necessary instruction in theory and technique with the fun and enjoyment of learning new songs! I am able to find out where each student wants to go in his or her musical adventure, and tailor a lesson plan based upon those needs.
*** Lesson Details *** I have a teaching style which is informative and fun at the same time! I do typically use method books for piano and guitar lessons, as well as handouts which I provide. After a certain period of time, usually within 6 months, my students have a solid foundation in theory (scales, chords, etc.) and technique, and are usually on their way to playing songs. I encourage students to let me know what songs they are interested in learning! We learn music through both reading and by ear. I am very patient and I believe in repetition so that my students fully understand the music that they are working on.
*** Studio Equipment *** Front room w/ grand piano, f/w keyboard, guitars, amps, and seating for parents
*** Specialties *** For my students, I incorporate a method involving a logical way to learn what the notes are on their instrument. My method involves a combination of music theory and hands on participation. I systematically expose them to theory in order to help them understand what is behind the exercises and songs that they are playing. I use both method books and my own supplemental handouts to enhance their learning experience. I also help students to learn music from audio recordings. I teach jazz, rock, pop, blues, country, and classical music styles.

David is a very good guitar player and is very knowledgeable about music and the guitar. I have advanced my playing skill to my satisfaction while taking lessons from David. It does take a lot of practice and dedication on the students part to learn to play the acoustic guitar, but well worth it.

David has been extremely helpful to me as a beginner. He is very patient and fun to learn from. He taught me everything from note reading to the Circle of Fifths. As a teacher, he encourages me to push through and not to give up. I'm excited to keep learning from him as our journey continues.
Kelly B. July 8, 2015
I have had the pleasure of taking guitar lessons from David. He has an ability to understand the level of the student and use this to his teaching style. Due to this, he was able to expand upon my past knowledge of music and incorporate it into how he teaches me. He brings a great depth of knowledge of music to his instruction which can transcend to other instruments. In addition, his program is well developed and ensures the success of the student to learning the guitar! David was extremely patient and very fun to learn from!
I am an enthusiastic, caring, and patient voice and piano instructor. I am passionate about both music and teaching. I began playing piano when I was 9 years, and began classical vocal instruction at the age of 10. I have been teaching both voice and piano since 2004. I received my Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy in 2013. I believe passionately in the healing and restorative power of music. My teaching methods are based on traditional practices and pedagogy while also incorporating my studentâs musical preferences, and personal goals. My main goal as a teacher is to help each student
reach their highest musical potential while developing a life-long love for music.
*** Lesson Details *** I am a relaxed and patient teacher. I use positive reinforcement in order to help inspire and motivate my students. I do expect my students to play and/or sing outside of lessons, but I will never make my students feel anything but proud of their accomplishments as a musician. My piano students will learn note reading, proper fingering, posture and technique, music theory, chord theory, ear training, and performance. My voice students will learn proper posture, breathing, vocal technique and alignment. They will also learn how to sing in many different styles, or if they wish we can focus on specific genre of music. Within 3-6 months my students will have a much greater understanding of music, and will have developed a passion for playing their instrument or singing.
*** Specialties *** I use many different method books when teaching piano and am most comfortable with the Bastien series and Alfreds. When teaching voice I draw on many different methods and am comfortable teaching classical, pop, musical theater, and jazz.

Erin is great to work with. She has a very easy going and positive personality, and yet gets the student to work hard and practice. She is flexible and willing to adjust hours and days when things come up.
She occasionally will cancel with various family or personal issues, so your flexibility is needed as well.
Overall, we have been happy with our daughters progress and motivation.
Alex August 15, 2015
I've been taking lessons with Erin for about 2 years, and I couldn't be happier with her. I'm a thirty something newbie, and with her guidance and support I'm at a level I would have never imagined before. She encourages and trusts, while putting the right amount of pressure to practice and try. Erin is caring and patient, and genuinely wants to see me succeed in my goals. If you have to choose a teacher, she's the best one around!

Piano and voice - Erin is a solid musician and instructor. She is supportive, flexible and willing to work with the genre you choose to express yourself - she's great :)
I have been teaching violin since 2000. I started playing violin at the age of 10 and have continued through college and since. I played in the Clark College Orchestra and have done so for 18 years. I played in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony in Portland, Oregon for 5 years, during which time I went on a tour with the orchestra to Japan. I teach violin in a fun way but also make sure that the best technical methods are instilled, which I received in private instruction from the first violin of the Portland Opera Symphony.
