Matt P. Frederick, MD

My experience consists of singing and songwriting for over 6 years, avidly studying the methods of various world-class vocal coaches, and direct one-on-one training from one of the best vocal coaches in the world—Jaime Vendera.

My students learn about proper technique, how to take care of their voices, how to extend range, and much, much more!
My highest note used to be G4, but is now soprano A5. With the right techniques and amount of practice, you can achieve the same results with your voice!

About Matt

I am the go-to guy when it comes to: •Extending range •Building vocal power, strength, and stamina •Singing high with grit •Vocal/general health and wellness Your voice will soar if you train with me! Not completely sold? Let's talk on Skype for 15 min for FREE :)

Joe R. Glen Rock, PA

About Joe

Hello! I've been singing since before I can remember and playing instruments for almost as long. I have a passion for music. Whether it's being onstage at York Little Theatre, singing with the church choir in Red Lion, or paying with one of several local and regional bands, I love music and performing. There's no rush like sharing your passion with an audience, and I believe that with practice comes confidence and with confidence comes a great performer. I'll make my schedule/rates as flexible as possible to accommodate anyone who wants to learn! Let's get started!

Nicole R. Glen Rock, PA

I have been teaching lessons since I graduated from High School in 2003. I plan each students lesson to help meet and exceed their personal goals and expectations. All students will work on diction, intonation, reading and understanding music/rhythms, breathing, and posture. I am very laid back and positive and try to make my students feel comfortable with their voices and singing in front of other people.

About Nicole

I have been singing my entire life and teaching since I was 18. I am very passionate about private instruction, as I have personally found the most success through this method of learning music. When I am not working, I can be found singing in my church choir, playing saxophone and/or bassoon in our Sunday School Orchestra, singing and playing bass in a 5 piece classic rock band, and spending time with my husband and our families and friends. I will do my best to provide as much of the music as possible, as I know that can be a huge added expense to private lessons, but there may be a couple of books or sheet music that you will need to purchase personally. I will tailor your lesson plan to help you meet your personal goals. I look forward to working with you/your child.

Do Singers Need Metronomes?

As a vocalist, should you practice singing with a metronome at your side? Read on for St. Augustine, FL teacher Heather L.'s advice...    Metronomes are devices that produce sounds in regular, pre-chosen rhythms. Many years ago, the only metronomes were simple gadgets. Though the first one that's even similar to what we now think of as a "modern" metronome was invented in the 19th century, the kind that most adults are familiar with is a mechanical, wind-up metronome. 5 Excellent Sight Reading Exercises for Singers
Unless you're a career-chorister, the concept of sight reading music is probably going to at best make you slightly nervous, and at worst paralyze you with fright. However, at some point, probably when you join a choir or perhaps go to an audition, you're going to have to face that hurdle. Sight reading comes easier to some singers than others, but it's not some mythical task akin to retrieving a golden fleece; sight-reading, even for the more able, is a learned skill, and there are several sig

5 Hard Songs to Sing - and the Exercises to Master Them
Ask any experienced vocalist for a list of what they consider to be hard songs to sing, and they can probably provide you with five or six examples without much thought.  However, there are as many examples as there are different voices, and every individual singer will have individual vocal hurdles to overcome with their repertoire. The 2 Most Important Things Singers Always Forget to Do
Maintaining your vocal health is incredibly important if you want to go far with your singing! It's easy to forget the basics -- so check yourself with these two tips from Glendale, CA teacher Ben M...   As singers, we're very sensitive about the way our voices feel.
